I have read a book "Visual Basic .NET Step by Step" and I taught all the basics, which is what I play with at work everyday but only as a hobby. But I need a concrete book that will help me to understand C# and C++ as well. I had an O'reily's C++ reference which nice but some homo ganked it from me. So my question is, I need two(2) books that will define, be concrete, gives examples as well as projects for me top play with, possibly have a quiz inside and also help improve my study even as a beginner with some background fiddling with the language, understanding assemblies, exceptions, buffers memory allocation, api etc. I need a book that will also allow me to work in a visual studio environment as well preferably vs2010+.
