Hi everybody!

:O
1. I cant add a new query in sql server 2008 because at the first, it asks me a server name ! i tried my username and ... but i couldnt fint any good word to pass that window now i wanna ask you how can i pass that window and add a new query and what should i write in server name box?

2. and i wonder if u tell me some good sources to learn sql server2008.

:D

Hope the SQL server is installed in the same computer

1.Select "Browse More" option in the servername combo box (this is the last option)

2.In the popup window,select the "local servers" tab and expand the database engine tab, if the sql server is installed in the same computer and you will see you server name listed there and select it.

Bala has given you a nice solution to get out from your First question and for about your second question I think you should use MSDN-SQL Server 2008 ][^] to learn SQL server 2008.
