I am getting the following error.
Send Email Failed. The parameter 'address' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: address
|
|
|
|
|
Try initializing your string with any type of data.
replace "string address;" with something like:
string address = " ";
see if that works

Hi,
I'm new to ASP.NET. What I don't understand is can I use this same code and add more fields to my form outside of Name, Submject, Email and Message?
Let's say I wanted City, a Fence Style dropdown, and Telephone, etc.... Can I still use the same MailMessage class to do that?
Thanks!

Hi
I have used the default.aspx and its code file in your demo application,
placed them in a separate folder.
I modified the web.config file, restarted iis just in case.
The app runs with no asp.net :(runtime errors, but gives the depressing
message under the form:
"Send Email Failed.
Failure sending mail"
I guess this is just something not enabled or permission somehwere?
(Windows server 2003, web edition, iis 6)
Can anyone help. I am new to asp.net
thanks

Hi I'm fairly new to ASP.NET and found this useful. I need some help with the aspx.cs file becuase when the page tries to submit the following is shown
'Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Unable to relay for adam@adamgrannell.co.uk'
See adamgrannell.co.uk
The source is below.
If some one can check possibly where I have gone wrong and compare it to their version, that would be great. I have tried substituting the 'localhost' with a server IP address but no go.
Everything else is more or less the same as the tutorial.
Initial diagnosis from the website provider say the email is trying to relay through the email address. Must hav done somthing wrong somwhere.
Many thanks
A Grannell

Is it possible to send a pre-defined html message to the sender when they click submit?
The form works perfect but I'd like to have it so as well as the comments being sent to my address, I add another box for the users email address and have it send a confirmation to them too.
Kind Regards
Mattie

I'd like to add X-headers.
How do I do this in asp.net 2.0?
for instance:
X-Sender-IP: XXX.117.213.XXX
X-Priority: 3
X-MSMail-Priority: Normal
X-Mailer: My Organization Here
Cheers,
Chris
