I believe it. My supervisor is currently on FMLA leave for 3 months, because 40 hours a week, with an additional 8 weeks of leave time per year, is just too much work.

I spend 4 days, proximity 9 hours each day at office - so it is a good time... BUT! I do other things around, like fixing things at home, keeping the garden, buying, cooking, cleaning and mustering the kids... Some of these are not less stressful than office hours...

Interstellar molecular clouds are predominantly composed of hydrogen in molecular form (H2), but also contain a small percentage of dust particles mostly in the form of carbon nanostructures, called polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). Just in case you want to make a few at home

The idea of Win 10 Cloud as a "successor" to Win RT induced a wave of nausea.
On WinAero, Sergey Tkachenko's under-the-hood Win exploratorium: [^].Quote: Besides this restriction, many Store apps cannot be installed or launched in the current version of Windows 10 Cloud. Neither can Windows 8 Metro apps from the Store run.
It is also worth mentioning that apps converted from Win32 to the UWP wrapper using Project Centennial app do not work in Windows 10 Cloud. The limitation is very strict and similar to the restrictions implemented in Windows RT. Yep, sounds like an alpha escaped from the zoo.
«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008

Since Windows RT Microsoft has made substantial progress with the UWP platform, developer tools and also improving the app offering on the windows store.
But most of the interesting apps are still coming from the Win32 sphere and even some of the more popular UWP apps (TuneIn Radio etc.) perform poorly. App reactivity/performance is a major issue. I guess that Windows 10 Cloud will be a disappointment such it was RT and hurt Microsoft´s brand image once more. They should focus more on premium/performance solutions... as they have shown, this can work greatly.

Alleged screen shots of Microsoft's coming Windows 10 'Cloud' variant (which may actually have nothing to do with the cloud) have leaked to the Web. Alleged yawns allegedly stifled

Latest version of Firefox will require Rust to compile successfully, restricting the number of platforms that the browser can be ported to. Well, that should definitely increase use of Rust by dozens of developers
|
|
|
|
|
Doesn't really restrict it that much - Rust currently runs on Linux/Mac/Windows, and ports are running on multiple hardware platforms.
For currently unsupported platforms, if LLVM already targets that platform, the port should not be too onerous (as such things go).

The hacker says this demonstrates that when organizations make hacking tools, those techniques will eventually find their way to the public. Who will steal from the thieves?
I was originally planning on doing it in Latin (to sound SMRT and all), but I figured people would correct my grammar

That's fascinating... Just because it is about a registered company, not only it can create those tools, but can sell it too... If it will be on my computer I will face investigation and charges...
And for sure, those who bought it didn't meant to put it in the museum...

Ah, I see you have the machine that goes ping. This is my favorite. You see we lease it back from the company we sold it to and that way it comes under the monthly current budget and not the capital account.

Yeah, at least M$ knows to kill projects that are DOA before they ever arrive.
This one was dead from the beginning but they kept dancing around acting like someone was going to use it.
Umm...If I want an Android-like OS then how about I just go for umm...well...Android.
Apparently Firefox has lost its niche. Browser? Probably not. OS? Definitely not.
Maybe time to work on something completely different?
