Well then?...who *did* write the text for Blue Screen Of Death?

Well, that's still not the truth exactly... According to his blog post, he just modified the original message to include driver name, section and offset numbers.

The author missed a small point...Real programmer never wants to be 'there' - at the 'perfect' spot! A real programmer wants to move forward - all the time. The problem is not the programmer but that he have to choose between paths - there are far too many paths to walk on...
I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)

If you simply mean that a developer wants to continue moving forward on the project at hand, and not be bogged down in meetings and paperwork, then I agree.
But if you mean "to advance his career" then I disagree. Developers want to develop. Most (though not all) managers I've met who used to be developers, wished they still did development. If you (not meaning you personally of course) wish to be a manager or team leader or whatnot, then you probably are not "A real programmer".

By 'move forward' I mean to do old things in a better way and do new things - learn and develop (code and himself too)...

Ah, well that's alright then. Carry on.

Well, I guess that's a personal accomplishment then. Much of the year to still go, though. I'm sure I can do worse if I really try.

Microsoft is potentially working on acquiring one of the biggest game developers in the world. What the what?

Thank you - I was thinking of keeping the elephants out of it, but... yeah. They are needed here.

I just threw up a little in the back of my throat.
I say this as my thirteen-year-son is playing that fetid nonsense on the XBox in the other room.
I'll also point out (perhaps even constructively) that the kid chose to replace his Android phone with an iPhone because of some related app (a skin editor?) that was only available for that platform. That is a market I'm sure Microsoft wants.

Point him to Turing Machines made in Minecraft[^], and give him three days to implement a basic 8086 chip! Only then can he get an iPhone, by proving his worth!

Apple has introduced their new payment service, Apple Pay. Apple has created a new option to replace the 'archaic' method of making payments with a credit or debit card by adding a new secure, convenient, and expedited method to its new iPhones. Yes people will. Oh, yes they will. Pernasally.

Because Apple is so good at security.

Apple on Tuesday unveiled its next-generation iPhones, which include larger screens and the integration of a new mobile payments system that will let you make store purchases by waving or tapping your iPhone at a checkout terminal. Oh right, that's today. No wonder the Internet is slow right now.
