Hi
I am working in Win32 API SDK, at my program, I am hooking IE window and I am using my own BHO dll (whenever IE is open, dll will attach with IE browser) through this dll I want to save the complete web page without prompting the save as dialogbox. I tried by using as follows
HRESULT hr = m_pWebBrowser->ExecWB(OLECMDID_SAVEAS,
MSOCMDEXECOPT_DONTPROMPTUSER, NULL, NULL);
I used MSOCMDEXECOPT_DONTPROMPTUSER options, even though I am getting dialog box and even if try to save the web page through save as dialog box also, page is not saving. I am getting the error msg "This Web page could not be saved".
Can you please help me to save the complete web page without prompting save..as dialog box.
If Anyone help to get an answer for this, it would be very much helpful for me

can anyone tell me the difference between ATL, WTL, STL, and MFC. What should I use when i develop general windows applications?
STL is a set of template classes and functions which provide generic containers and algorithms.
ATL is a set of template classes to create COM components and also contains default implementation of some COM interfaces.
WTL is a windowing wrapper over ATL to create template based window applications.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone cold tell me how to send and receive data over a TCP/IP packets..etc....is there some kind of a winsock class in C++?
does anyone know where i can get a class to implement multithreading in c++. Im making a console application using Borland CBuilerX.
For starters, you won't find anything useful here for a Borland compiler, unless it is just plain C++ (which obviously knows nothing of threads).

I have Windows XP(SP 1) with Visual Studio 6 .
I'm trying to compile some code that has tooltip balloons. At the
moment, the icon appears in the system tray, but the balloons do not
appear. In the code, it has
#ifdef NOTIFYICONDATA_V1_SIZE
// ... initalise tooltop balloons
#endif
NOTIFYICONDATA_V1_SIZE
But i can't find it defined anywhere in visual studio include files.
Why??Need any SDK ? If "Yes" which SDK I have to download(Note:- I have Windows XP(SP 1) with Visual Studio 6 . )? I am very much happpy if anyone reply with the link of that SDK.
Thanx in advance

One thing to note when installing VS6, is that the SDK that originally gets installed are out of date. I recently had to re-install VS6.0 and the first thing that I did was to install the latest service pack for VS6.0 (SP5 I think), and then download the latest Windows SDK and install those.
Having the windows XP operating system does not mean that you have the latest SDK installed. Go to the Microsoft website and search for the Windows Platform SDK. These updated files will contain all the new definitions that you need.

I created a server-client voice communication program using CSocket and CArchive. It works well but with a problem. The problem is that after some time the server program and client program are hanging. When I debug it, I found that it stops in the execution of flush() method. The code snippet is:
m_pArchiveOut->Write(lpData,nSize);
m_pArchiveOut->Flush();
Can anybody help me, please?

Dear friends,
I am using fstream to open the file. I am reading/writing data to and from the file with fstream object.
I want to determine the size in bytes of the file represented by the fstream object. How can i do so ?

You might want to try something like this
inFile.seekg(0,ios::end);
int ifilesize=inFile.tellg();
cout << "Filesize is " << ifilesize << endl;
goodluck
Do this:
// open the file
fstream f("filename.ext",ios::in|ios::binary);
// set the file pointer to end
f.seekg(0,ios::end);
// get the current position which will be the size
len = f.tellg();
// reset the pos
f.seekg(0);
//close the file
f.close();
