I need to create a report that will pull up information from a database as a flat file. I have created the form but as this is my first project not sure where to go from here to create the flat file and to create a test file for a test upload. Please help.

When you say "Flat file" are you meaning a simple text file? If so try something like this.
Dim sw as System.IO.StreamWriter = new System.IO.StreamWriter("C:\test.txt")
sw.Writeline("Line 1")
sw.Writeline("Line 2")
sw.Flush
sw.Close

do you mean as outlook.MailItem?

Yeah, you need to assign something to it, otherwise it will be null. Maybe you missed a line of code that assigned something to it?

Hi,
Not sure where to post this so i'm posting it here and in the C# forum...
I'm busy converting an old VB 6 app to .NET and I'm having a little issue with crystal. In the VB 6 code, when you export a report to disk, it used to pop up a dialog box that showed you how far, percentage wise, it was in the export. I've converted this to .NET and it exports perfectly BUT it doesn't pop up that little crystal dialog box to show how far the export is...
Anyone have any ideas on this? I've looked for methods and properties in the ReportDocument and ExportOptions classes but couldn't see anything.
Thanks!
Nick

I want to add some program in between some other program
means i want to trigger some hardware through lpt port in between a slide show in acdsee program can any body help me to do this....

You can't get Acdsee to call your code without some pretty serious hacking. There are articles on CP about hacking Minesweeper to add menu items, but getting something to happen as part of a process is a lot more involved. Certainly, I doubt VB is even up to the task, it sounds like a C++ job to me.
Why don't you just write your own slideshow, that would be easier I reckon.

You're using VB6 ? Sorry, I don't use VB at all, and I answer vb.net questions because they use the .net framework, which I do use.
