Your articles are interesting. As well as your blogs. It's nice to see ladies in computing area.
By the way, COM was my most favourite topic until it's replaced by .NET.

I came to view your profile because of your reply to my posting 'I'm Silver'. (Plus, I just wanted to see if you had a photo posted so I could see what you look like)

Yes, of course.
That's the thought in your foreground thread.
Other thoughts in the background threads are not my business, I know.

It's about my experience. The girls I know do not like computers at all. Even those, who study at computer since in university. This experience caused result that, from _my_ point of view, possibility that a girl likes [or understands] some computer technologies is less then the possibility that she doesn't.
In your case I believe it's different. May be better word to describe this is "unusual".

I wasn't saying _all_ woman does not do well with computers.
What I wanted to say "you are special because you like what most others don't"

Hello

Tell me what's on your mind, what you're thinking about right now.
I am thinking about home. I am an Australian and have been living in Amsterdam since the start of this year. On sunday I will be returning to Sydney and I am a bit apprehensive about it because I will probably run into my ex-girlfriend eventually and I dont know how I will feel when I see her again. Also I am thinking about food but that is a constant for me. Pasta, pizza, thai noodles or curry, those are my choices for dinner tonight.

Why do you view my profile? Do you have a boring day?
I looked at your profile because I saw a post from you in the lounge. My day has not been too bad. I finish at this company on Friday so I am just tying up a few loose ends.
Have you ever been to Australia? Your English is excelent but spending some time in an English speaking country is probably the only way you will ever be really comfortable with it.

LOL - I came here because I saw your post about a guy writing to you, assuming you were male. To be honest, I know your name from the forums, but while 'Corinna' is obviously a girls name, with 'John' after it, I'd not assumed you were female ( nor had I assumed you were male, I mean, why would I care ? ). So when you said they had even clicked your profile, I couldn't resist
Unlike the dude from Egypt, I'm not going to stalk you though..... My wife would kill me.

hmm but your wife isn't reading CP. Otherwise you would say something like "because I love my beautiful wife so much and she is so great and cook good and... blahblahblah" and not "My wife would kill me"

I am here again because there isn't better place to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CORRINA!
Now that's crazy. Yesterday (okay, day before yesterday and.. uh.. hmm nevermind) I celebrated my friend's 21st birthday, today I celebrated my other friends 21st birthday, Colin has 21+21 birthday... girl how come you are 25? Nevermind, you look like 21

Thanks, David
BTW: Who ist Corrina (with double "r")?
dnh wrote:

25 is 2 and 5.
2 + 5 = 7
The above equation contains 3 numbers and a result of 7.
3 * 7 = 21.
That's a nice way to connect 25 and 21, is it?

How often do you discover that there is a real life trinity?
B.T.W. The concept is brilliant but could be abused by for the want of a better term "evil" people. Look at what they did with Alberts work!

Everthing can be abused. If I don't invent it, somebody else will do that. If I don't publish it, somebody else will use it in secret without the rest of the world suspecting anything.

True I suppose.
B.T.W. my english is hardly oxford standard but your tagline might be better as "Please inform me about my English mistakes, as I am still trying to learn your language." (though technically it's not my language!)
