Try opening it using the Jet 40 provider for Oledb (System.data.oledb classes), use Extended properties = Excel 8.0 in the connection string, Data source is directory, initial catalog is file name.
then try :
public DataTable GetTables(OleDbConnection conn)
{
conn.Open();
DataTable schemaTable = conn.GetOleDbSchemaTable(OleDbSchemaGuid.Tables,
new object[] {null, null, null, "TABLE"});
conn.Close();
return schemaTable;
}

thank you, that would be perfect IF i could use the microsoft.jet.4.0 driver. But, so far I keep getting the message saying the that the porvider is not registered on the local machine.
Even thought, it is : I download the lastest, i check the registry and i manually register using the regsvr32 sqloledb.dll. but nothing worked. so, i decided to try the odbc and it works, but i do not know how to get the tables with it.
I appreciate any suggestions...

Hello;
I want to use DirectSHOW DLL,,,or any DLL with the
same performance to CAPTURE a VIDEO stream (from
webcam)
and make some image processing in this stream
(live/real time processing) and view (the captured
video and the video after processing)
-------------------------------------------------------
EXAMPLE:
i'll capture a video
then
subtract EACH FRAME(in the stream) from certain
picture
then
filter the RESULTANT FRAME using median filter
all this will be applied for each fame in real
time,,ok
I allready made the codes of 1-subtracting and
2-median filter
but my problem is:
1- how to capture the stream with DIRECTSHOW
2- how to applay my codes(subtracting,median,another
cimage processing codes) using DIRECTSHOW
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have some sources like:
1-DirectShow documentation for Microsoft(for c++)
2-NET MASTER project in codeproject which titeled by(DirectShow.net)
I'm so sorry for you time,,,,but i really need your
help
thnx again.

If you are using C++ ,then you may ask it there at its forum,if you are using .NET ,then I believe that the Managed DX SDK[^]will help.

cani create a window form that contain just the menu, so without borders but just the tilebar?

Sasuko wrote:

Sasuko wrote:

There are some Diffrence :
Title bar is the one that Holdes the title of the window ,and holdes the Close button,The menu is that holdes File,Edit,etc...
So if you want that MENU so you can make a custom one to stand with the Borderless form.

Hello,
I'm trying to differentiate between left and right buttons in my DoubleClick handler for a ListView . The EventArgs argument contains no info, and I couldn't find anything in help.
Any ideas?

Try using a flag in the Click event NOT DoubleClick ,and in it know what button has been pressed and then manage this flag.
|
|
|
|
|
No, that won't work. The Click event has the same information as DoubleClick : none. I ended up using MouseDown , which contains in its event arguments both the button and the number of clicks (to detect a double click). But thanks anyway!

Sorry;),I really wanted to write MouseDown ,I don't know what made me do Click .
|
|
|
|
|
Don't worry. I was trying to avoid messing with the double click time and all that to tell double-clicks apart from single-clicks, and that's why I didn't want to use MouseDown . But conveniently MouseEventArgs contains a very useful Clicks property

i'm in a serious need for a ping class( 100% working correctly )
that has a function take ip and send me any indicator whether this ip is connected or disconnected as soon as posible
i tried alot of functions and they all doesnt give me right answeres
|
|
|
|

If you followed thie link from the last answer you got, that code works fine. It more than likely has to be modified to work exactly how you want it and return the information you want.
You're not looking for "100% working correctly", the code in the example works.
You're looking for "100% working the way I want it to". Modify the code correctly, and it will.

In fingerprint recognition
the first step is core point detection
Centerpoint location is done to find the point of most curvature by determining the normal of each fingerprint ridge.and then following them inwards towards the center.
QUESTION IS
Now I want to ask How can I implemant
2-D Guassian Lowpass Wiener Filter to finger print
How can I divide the input fingerprint image into non-overlapping block of sze 10*10

In brief...I've a MDI application with this MDI childs(at the moment all MDI childs are closed):
1)MDIFORM (MDI container)
2)FORM1 (MDI form child)
3)FORM2 (MDI form child)
I press a menu on MDIFORM that opens FORM1.
In FORM1 there is a texbox.
On keyPress event of textbox I write in a MSAccess table what I'm writing in the textbox.
On Load event of FORM1 I open FORM2 where is a datagrid.
The code is:
public class FORM1: System.Windows.Forms.Form
{
private FORM2 form2=null;
private void FORM1_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
if (this.form2==null)
{
this.form2=new FORM2();
this.form2.MdiParent=this.MdiParent;
}
this.form2.Show();
}
private void InsertString(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventArgs e)
{
// -- INSERT DB
}
}
In FORM2 I've a datagrid where I show results written before in last MSAccess table.The code is this:
public class FORM2 : System.Windows.Forms.Form
{
private System.ComponentModel.Container components = null;
private System.Windows.Forms.DataGrid dataPreResult;
public FORM2()
{
InitializeComponent();
}
protected override void Dispose( bool disposing )
{
if( disposing )
{
if(components != null)
{
components.Dispose();
}
}
base.Dispose( disposing );
}
#region Windows Form Designer generated code
private void InitializeComponent()
{
this.dataPreResult = new System.Windows.Forms.DataGrid();
((System.ComponentModel.ISupportInitialize)(this.dataPreResult)).BeginInit();
this.SuspendLayout();
//
// dataPreResult
//
this.dataPreResult.AllowSorting = false;
this.dataPreResult.BorderStyle = System.Windows.Forms.BorderStyle.FixedSingle;
this.dataPreResult.DataMember = "";
this.dataPreResult.Dock = System.Windows.Forms.DockStyle.Fill;
this.dataPreResult.Font = new System.Drawing.Font("Verdana", 8.25F, System.Drawing.FontStyle.Regular, System.Drawing.GraphicsUnit.Point, ((System.Byte)(0)));
this.dataPreResult.HeaderForeColor = System.Drawing.SystemColors.ControlText;
this.dataPreResult.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(0, 0);
this.dataPreResult.Name = "dataPreResult";
this.dataPreResult.ReadOnly = true;
this.dataPreResult.RowHeaderWidth = 10;
this.dataPreResult.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(232, 613);
this.dataPreResult.TabIndex = 0;
//
// FORM2
//
this.AutoScaleBaseSize = new System.Drawing.Size(5, 13);
this.ClientSize = new System.Drawing.Size(232, 613);
this.Controls.Add(this.dataPreResult);
this.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(600, 10);
this.MaximizeBox = false;
this.MinimizeBox = false;
this.Name = "FORM2";
this.ShowInTaskbar = false;
this.StartPosition = System.Windows.Forms.FormStartPosition.Manual;
this.Load += new System.EventHandler(this.StringPreResult_Load);
((System.ComponentModel.ISupportInitialize)(this.dataPreResult)).EndInit();
this.ResumeLayout(false);
}
#endregion
public void StringPreResult_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
ReadResults();
}
public void ReadResults()
{
OleDbDataAdapter da = new OleDbDataAdapter();
OleDbConnection con =new OleDbConnection();
OleDbCommand cmd = new OleDbCommand();
DataTable dt =new DataTable();
dt.Clear();
con.ConnectionString=<connectionstring>;
con.Open();
cmd.Connection = con;
cmd.CommandText = "SELECT * FROM TABLE";
da.SelectCommand = cmd;
da.Fill(dt);
dataPreResult.SetDataBinding(dt,"");
cmd.Cancel();
con.Close();
}
}
So now, my problems is: how can update datagrid in FORM2 from FORM1 when I call keypress event on FORM1 textbox(InsertString in example code)?
Thanks for any help!!!
|
|
|
|
|
Uh...What you need to do is maybe set a timer in form 2 to refresh the data in the datagrid..
I have an app that I do something similar in, and all you need to do is call ReadResults() and do dataPreResult.Invalidate() (to make sure that it gets redrawn) every so often..I'm not 100% sure on that, but it should work.
Here's the relevant code:
Timer updateDataGrid = new Timer();
<br />
public FORM2()<br />
{<br />
InitializeComponent();<br />
updateDataGrid.Interval = 60*1000;<br />
updateDataGrid.Tick += new EventHandler(doUpdate);<br />
updateDataGrid.Start();
}<br />
<br />
private void doUpdate(object sender, EventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
ReadResults();<br />
dataPreResult.Invalidate();<br />
}

Hello folks,
can anyone help me before i chuck my monitor accross the room. I need to convert the string "20050401" to a datetime of April 01, 2005, but i can't get it to work. He's my latest effort.
DateTime.ParseExact("20050401", "YYYYMMDD", null)
Any ideas?
|
|
|
|
|
Next time, save yourself the headache and read the documentation on the function your trying to use first. You're using the wrong format string and you can't pass null for the IFormatProvider parameter.
DateTime.ParseExact("20050401", "yyyyMMdd", Application.CurrentCulture.DateTimeFormat);
