Doesn't the parent node have a child nodes property you can use ?

There's no way to iterate through the child nodes of a particular node ? That would make that control complete crap. It would also mean it can't be done.
The WinForms TreeControl has a TreeNode class, which represents one node in the view. Like the node you're talking about. That node has a property called ChildNodes. That is what you need.

I don't want to add nodes to treeview i want to get all the child nodes added to listview when a parent node of a treeview is clicked

That's exactly what Christian is suggesting you to do, iterate through the child nodes and add them to the listview. Something like
void AddToList(TreeNode parent)
{
foreach(TreeNode child in parent.Nodes)
{
listView.Items.Add(child.Text);
}
}

Just a note, if you wish to parse through ALL child nodes, I suggest that a recursive method should be used to parse all sub-children of the children of the selected parent node. In other words, if you use the above code all you will get in your listview is your 1st generation children of the parent passed in.
Example:
Parent
-child1
-subchild1
-subchild2
-child2
You will only get child1 and child2 to show up.

Hello all, i'm just really getting started with VB.NET and could use
some help with a project i am doing for class.
I am designing a mock student registration client and i need to use
Two List Boxes, with 4 buttons in between the two boxes to add/remove
add all/remove all for each selection.
It would work something like this. The Left List Box would contain
classes available, and the Right List Box would contain classes the
user has selected. I am wondering if there is a Windows Form addon
or something i can use to add this functionality.
So, to sum up, left box>classes avail. if user clicks class and
presses add, the class needs to move to the right list box which is
classes taken. and vice versa.
Any help would be appreciated.

The list box exposes a property of items selected. Iterate through it, and remove each item from one, and add it to the other.
msdn.microsoft.com is the Microsoft help page. You should look there first, look up listbox, and at the bottom will be a link to listbox properties. That will list everything the listbox does, which is always a good place to start.

Is it possible to build a very specific file & folder search?. For example just like the file finder that windows has built in?. If it is, is there any way that someone can show me examples of what to use, how to use, like, namespaces, classes, etc. Or a website with some real help?. I really need to write my own programs things are getting very specific at work and the programs that we have do not really do what we want. The only way is by writing our own.

hello, I want to disable de double click event in treeview.
The reason is that I don't want that when you do double click over a node, automatically unfolds a child node, and I don't want this.
how I can do that when I do double click in a node, don't occurs anything?

Hi.
Have you tried the 'DoubleClick' event on it?
I didn't test it, but maybe you can set something like this :
your_TreeView.TreeView.SelectedNode=your_TreeView.TreeView.SelectedNode.PrevNode
try it, and tell me if it's right or not.

Thanks for your repply, but where I have to put this code, if I want to disable the double click event. I think that I have to put the code in the double click event, but in this event, the property Cancel doesn't exists.

Does any body know how to read a wave file from the vb code and to get the values into an array. I want to do it with out using mmioOpen function. Can I do this using open for binary method. If so how it should be?

Hi,
I have created a VB ActiveX DLL inside which I kept a single function. which dll is used by the VB script, inside script I create a object using "CraeteObject", This script run correctly On win32 OS but on 64 bit OS gives the error "Can't create the object" (Similiar).
Please help me to solve this problem.

Assuming the C++ Dll is not compiled as a COM dll, you have to declare function prototypes in VB for the functions in the C++ dll. You must make sure to convert C++ types into the correct VB types, and use the appropriate ByVal and ByRef calling conventions.
A web search or MSDN search on "Calling Win32 API from VB" will provide you with a few zillion examples.

I have to made the data transaction,when the connection will be made ,connections means dial-up network beteween two systems.suppose the system A dialed then the system b will accept the connection and send the file,data to systema .now what i think,i think to create the service when the connection will be made it will activate,now my question is ,how can i know the connection is establishing,means the how cani know the incoming connections is currently connected or not from vb.net and also i want to get both ipaddress.if anybody can help me .thats very usefull for me

I don't use VB.NET at all, ever. But in C#, if you type three slashes instead of two, you get the comment block that will convert to XML. Obviously, VB.NET does not use slashes at all.
A quick google adds this to the list of things that C# can do that VB.NET cannot, sorry. XML comments will be new in VB.NET 2005.
