Hi All,
I dwnlded the article "Simulating recordset with ADO.NET".I found the coding was meant for SQLserver....I tried to modify to Access DB ..... What shl I do to replace these lines(Its meant for SQLConnection)
' Cursor declared with a SQL-92 syntax (BooksOnLine)
cmd.CommandText = "DECLARE crsr SCROLL CURSOR FOR " & mSelectString
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()
cmd.CommandText = "OPEN crsr"
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()

AFAIK, Access/Jet doesn't support Scroll Cursors.

anyone knows the way to open the default email program with an attachment file??
Actually, i have found some code from internet. but,this code not able to attach a file to the email program. the code i found was written below.. thanks for helps..
Function openclient()
'string builder used for concatination
Dim MsgBuilder As New System.Text.StringBuilder
MsgBuilder.Append("mailto:abc@hotmail.com")
MsgBuilder.Append("&subject=this is test subject")
MsgBuilder.Append("&body=this is test body")
MsgBuilder.Append("&Attach=C:\abc.txt")
'Debug.WriteLine(MsgBuilder.ToString)
ExecuteFile(MsgBuilder.ToString)
End Function
Private Function ExecuteFile(ByVal FileName As String) As Boolean
Dim myProcess As New Process
myProcess.StartInfo.FileName = FileName
myProcess.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = True
myProcess.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = False
myProcess.Start()
myProcess.Dispose()
End Function
|
|
|
|
|
Your code will generate a commanline like this:
mailto:abc@hotmail.com&subject=this is a test subject...
The & sign before "subject" should be a ? instead. All name value pairs after the first should be prefixed with a &. Like this:
mailto:abc@hotmail.com?subject=This is the subject&body=Message body...
Keep in mind that not all email clients support attachments from the command line. Some even have problems just interpreting the line...

If you have a TAPI compatible modem, then yes, there are lots of ways.
Unfortunatly, you've asked such a generic question, we really can't answer more then that.

I'd say you need to write your own.

The .NET Framework doesn't have an equivelent. You'll have to roll your own.

First of all, I must say that my english language is very poor ,so excuse my stupid phrases .
The Issue:
Now I had finished my User Control but I want to add a opacity percent property to it, I keep think and think but finally I have nothing , so I am wating for your great help .
Finally, I really feel that I must say that I think this web site is the best.

Add a Public Property to your control, just like any other. You'll also have to set your controls style that says your painting code support transparency. Then you'll have to update your painting code to support it.
In other words, this is something you should have designed into your control from the start. Adding it as an afterthought is a bit more difficult.

I don't think it's that difficult...
Lets say your old painting code looks like this:
Protected Overrides Sub OnPaint(ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs)
MyBase.OnPaint(e)
'Painting starts here...
e.Graphics.FillEllipse(Brushes.CadetBlue, Me.ClientRectangle)
'Painting done
End Sub
Then your new paint code can look like this:
Protected Overrides Sub OnPaint(ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs)
MyBase.OnPaint(e)
'Graphics of a bitmap to paint on instead of e.Graphics
Dim bmp As New Bitmap(Me.Width, Me.Height, Imaging.PixelFormat.Format32bppPArgb)
Dim g As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(bmp)
'Painting starts here...
'Use g instead of e.GRaphics
g.FillEllipse(Brushes.CadetBlue, Me.ClientRectangle)
''Painting done
'Get rid of bmp graphics
g.Dispose()
'Assuming that Opacity is a Single from 0 to 1
If Me.Opacity = 1 Then
'Opacity = 100%, so just draw bmp
e.Graphics.DrawImageUnscaled(bmp, 0, 0)
Else 'Opacity less than 100%
'Attributes for the bmp
Dim attrib As New Imaging.ImageAttributes
'ColorMatrix for the transparency of the bmp
Dim colorm As New Imaging.ColorMatrix
'Set the Opacity of the colormatrix
colorm.Matrix33 = Opacity
'Set the colormatrix of the attributes
attrib.SetColorMatrix(colorm)
'Draw the bmp on e.Graphics with the right opacity
e.Graphics.DrawImage(bmp, New Rectangle(0, 0, bmp.Width, bmp.Height), 0, 0, bmp.Width, bmp.Height, GraphicsUnit.Pixel, attrib)
'Get rid of the attributes
attrib.Dispose()
End If
'Get rid of the bitmap
bmp.Dispose
End Sub
Hope this helps

Doesn't help me, I know this stuff already. You might want to reply to the OP, though.
Hopefully, he doesn't just cut and paste your code and expect it to work! And, yes, I still say this should have been a consideration when the control was designed and not an after thought.

I already added the porperty and set my control style to support transparency, I just want to know how to make the opacity in the painting code and (Absof***inlutely) give me the key so thank you all,
and i am not just cutting and pasting the code

I'm happy to have helped you,
and i don't mind if you paste the code, do as you want!
But i maybe the code doesn't work (as Dave suggested), i didn't test it ...

Are you asking how you can disaply your own login form when XP locks the desktop and the user tries to unlock it?
You can't do this without replacing the GINA.DLL. Here...[^]
