i need to edit webpage source files
coding of some of them does not correspond with my system settings (codepage for non-unicode programs) and many times they are just includes with unspecified code page at all
i want simple text editor can select codepage of edited text
if i will see wrong characters i will just select correct codepage - just like into web browser (unfortunately there just read only, and of course without complete source visibility)
i do not want buy something like front page
open office knows work with codepage just in plain html files, i need to edit also php scripts

i have XML file , and i wana see it in html form , i mean i dont want to see XML file in browser but i wana see it in ASP forms.how can i open it and browse it ??? thank you for your help !!!

Let's say I have a table like this:

How can I iterate throught all checkboxes and for example disable them.

Hi there,
There are many ways to get reference to the checkbox collection, then you can iterate the list to disable all the items. Below is just one of them, because all the checkboxes you want to disable have different names and ids but have the same the prefix, so you first get all the checkboxes on the form, then you can do the filtering:

Hello everyone:
i am a newbie in asp.net,sorry for troubling you all.
Here is the scenario that I need some help with. in the server side, i have a large database with many tables ,and with each table there are quite many rows .Now i want to create a view based on this database in the server side.Obviously,this "create view" will cost a lot of time.then,in the client side it will be always waiting for the completment of the "create view",and users in the client side can not do anything else.(normally the web page will be time out and saying cannot display)
Now i am thinking is there any method that we can send a message to the server,let the server "create view " by itself and we can continue with our working,and when the server send a msg back when the "create view "is finished or not?
i dont know if i can use web service? i am not sure.Or is there any other way?anything will be appreciated!thanx in andvace!

Hi,
I currently have a webhost hosting my entire website. Recently, I set up my own FTP server. I have created a HTML form for users of my website to upload (possible as big as 100MB) huge files. While this files will reside on my webhost server, I would like the data to be transferred to my FTP server as well, or even by passing the webhost altogether. I was told by a friend that a good script on the webhost server may do the trick. Is there anyone who could provide more insight to this?

I want to use a store procedure in the report. So for this I have created a store procedure in which I have used some temp table and finally I got the result what I want into SQL query analyzer. This store procedure is working fine when I am running into query analyzer. But when I used that store procedure at crystal report. no fields available for selection. Only name of store procedure is displayed.
For this problem I have searched in google then I find this link

Do you mean "data from multiple database tables" on the same web page?
If so, it is simply the query you use to extract the data from the database. If you mean something else please explain further so I can understand.

NO man, I just want to get multiple data form multiple table and all tables are in single database. For example i have a group table, which has groupID and group name, then a table "USER" then a table "topics" which has groupID, topicID, topic and another table called "TopicDetail" which has topicID, topicDetailID, topicdetail.
Now I want user to login and select his group, then he goes on the page where he can see all the related topics, and if he wants then he could enter now topics. same idea like google group or forums, that on the top of the page you see the group, your email address, date and subject. which all is coming from different tables.

Enabling/Disabling an ActiveX Control would be within Web-Browsers' security policy. We can query whether the ActiveX Control is loaded or active in JavaScript but we can not dictate it to be enabled or disabled.

I have a big problem: I want to pass througth a authenticated proxy to a authenticated website with C#.
I tried it with filling WebProxy Credential and WebRequest Credential, but it doesn't work...
Please help !
I tested with fiddler as a proxy. IE works with it, it comes with 2 authentication dialogs...
