hi
i am using from odbc and in it's conectionstring there is path of database for example: e:\ac.mdb
And, is the database being added as part of the Setup? Is the database being installed to the correct directory? Is your application looking in the correct directory?

Did you hardcode the path of the database? If so, and if it is installed in the same directory as you program...use application.StartupPath to make sure the path is correct.

If your database is in the same directory as your program I would do something like this:

pstrFile = Application.StartPath & "\(databasename).mdb"

I want to acess msconfig programmatically using vb6 in all versions of win os and how can write registry entry in it
MSConfig doesn't expose an API you can use. All it's doing is making modifications to the registry. (Well, some things require more than registry changes...)
But, you need to make the same changes to the Registry that MSConfig makes. Since VB6 doesn't have native support for accessing the the Registry, you have to call into the Win32 API Registry function to make it work.
You can find plentry of examples of this using Google[^].

The text that Im receiving is not correctly ordered.
Im looking for a function that can fix the text so that it is visually encoded so that i will be able to display the text in a non-RTL capable container (Macromedia Flash).

Can you have any idea or link to create the servic in vb6
which runs before explorer.exe because similar program is running in my college a password form appears before the desktop is showed,If not done in vb6 any other lang is invited.

VB6 won't build a service. You have to launch your application using a second app. Search the web for "VB6 run as service". Better yet, Google search results...[^]

I have a question regarding the use of timer.
I have created a VB .Net form with a timer that run at the background which at interval of one minutes will make a connection to the SQLCE database to retrieve data. At the same time there are others forms which is also be running based on the user interaction with the system. The others form it will too make connection to the database based on user interaction (example click button to save data).
I want to ask is that if the timer is currently on executing it codes, and then when the user click to save data into database, will the system complete the timer execution then follow by the user execution code or run at the same time?
I'm sorry that I unable to provide a clear question (it may be confusing) but I'm really need help for this. Thanks in advance

The code for both the timer and the user action will run at the same time or there abouts. This is because when the timer_elapsed event triggers it runs on a seperate thread.

Since every printer has different unprintable margins, it's impossible to have a single form layout that works for every printer.
In a Windows Forms app, you have to have some method to be able to move the fields around. A .config or .INI file works great for this. Then all you do is print a test form, and have the user modify the config file, either by hand or by using a utility you write, to tell your app to move the printed form in whatever direction is needed.
In a web form, since browsers render things slightly differently this is virtually impossible to do. I'm sure there might be a JavaScript way to do it, but that's not for this forum.
