C# strings are unicode, so perhaps you need to return a BSTR ?

What is the proper way of calling code written in VC.Net from C#
|
|
|
|
|
As You know in vc.net you can write managed and unmanaged code
Unmanage Code:
if you want to use unmanaged code use platform invoke
P/Invoke to call function you have in dll
Managed Code:
you can compile your code and reference this assembly from your project

Don't know if this is right to chip into your current topic or should I start a new one BUT....
There are functions in C++ like
"CVideoModes:CurrentVideoMode(CurrentMode)" that do not exist ( or I can't find them!)in C# in the .NET framework.
Where can I read more about imbedding C++ code in a C# program?

Ok guys, i not even know if it's a problem but i've seen many c# tutorials that explain assembly compilation by command line and i've seen they usually use "csc (my arguments...)".
That "csc" is a bit strange for me because they only use csc directly("c:\>csc myarguments..." for example) but i have to type all the path to the csc.exe file (C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET...csc.exe Myarguments...).
How can i create a link to csc?
Thanks in advance

Create a .txt file, open it and paste %comspec% /k "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Common7\Tools\vsvars32.bat" (or something else, go to Start->All Programs->Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 200X->Visual Studio Tools->Right-Click Command Prompt->Properties->Target->Paste that line)
Save the text file, and rename it to .bat, Now you can doubleclick and you have a shortcut to all Visual Studio programs, you can just type csc and the command prompt knows what you mean.

Hi All,
I have a custom datagrid with two checkbox controls in it.
When checkboxA is checked then if checkboxB is checked, it is unchecked and vice versa. (not like a radio button since if checkboxA is unchecked then nothing happens to checkboxB).
But I would like to implement this in client side...any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hello, I'm getting stucked at this point :
I've created a new class called ListViewItemEn that inherits from ListViewItem, I need to add a String into this new class called FullPath, since this point is all ok, my problem is that I'm not able to override the constructor
public ListViewItemEn(String[] text, String path)<br />
{<br />
}
I should add all the string of text into subitems, but it starts adding in the 2° column
Here's my code
public ListViewItemEn(String[] text, String percorso)<br />
{<br />
this.FullPath = percorso;<br />
<br />
for (int i=0; i< text.Length;i++)<br />
{<br />
this.SubItems.Add(text[i]);<br />
}<br />
<br />
}
How can I solve that? thanks in advance

There already is a method that takes an array of items to initialize the LVI with.
In any case, it's behaving correctly. You need to set the Text property of the base class, and the SubItems are columns 1..n

Hello,
I'm trying to develop a simple Explorer, just to kill time, I've got a problem for what concern context menu and listview's item.
I try to explain at my best.
I tryied to use
this.listView1.ItemActivate += new System.EventHandler(this.item_Selected); to catch ItemActivate event and here's the function's code
private void item_Selected(object sender, System.EventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
try<br />
{<br />
ListViewItem currentItem = this.listView1.FocusedItem;<br />
---> currentItem.ListView.ContextMenu = itemMenu;<br />
<br />
FileInfo f = new FileInfo(currentItem.Text);<br />
if(f.Attributes == System.IO.FileAttributes.Directory)
how do I reset the context to default one when no item are selected? and why I've difficulties to unselect the line I checked?? is a problem of itemactivate event??
Thanks

Are you talking about your Personal Hotmail account or Passport SDK stuff?
Since Hotmail is now Passport Authentication, you may need to check out www.Passport.com[^] Forgot Password services to recover the same.
I think if there is something related to Passport SDK, you may need to contact Passport CustomerCare.

Is there a tool that would function like the "file->save" we can find in all software or do i have to implement it myself, like object by object...
If there is, can u guys please tell me where to read about it...
thanx in advance

|

No such luck. You have to implement it yourself.
Cheers,

Look into serialization. You'll have to send each object to the file, but it's internal structure is encapsulated across the read/write actions.
