In a text box I want only numeric or backspace allowed. I know how to do the numeric but have not a clue with the backspace.
Here is my code. How do I also get the backspace?

Asc(e.KeyChar) returns the ASCII value of the key pressed. The [backspace] has an ASCII value of 8.

I want to select only certain fields from listbox which is populated by the
fields of a table and on selecting those fields .I want those field only on to a crystal report other field shouldn't appear.

you can do this but it all depends on the report format.
like in my case I had a report and it has to display the details of one record per page like details of employee. so what I did , I put these type of fields in one section and made them hide or display at run time. if this is the case then you got the solution. in other case like you are displaying records in columns then you have to make all the fields label as parameter fields and all the data as formula field. Now from vbCode is label parameter = "" then in formula field dont display any thing else display
hope you understand what I am trying to explain.
note: I am not sure that you can move the labels right or left for adjustment of blank spaces. but will solve the problem.
may be there is any other good method to do this. as this is some thing I did when I was exausted with this issue.

VB.NET doesn't have or isn't a database, it only allows to connect to a distant database such as SQL Server, Oracle, mySQL, etc...

can someone please help me on this. I am trying to create user profiles on don;t know where to start. I was thinking of using the windows registry but i don't know how to go about doing that.

You want to create Windows user profiles? You really can't do that in code. You can setup defaults for lots of things, but a user profile is only creatable when a user logs in for the first time.
Windows has lots of profile defaults in the registry, under HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT and under C:\Documents and Settings\Default User. But, may applications also setup their own stuff when a profile is created, like IE and Office.
