Hello
I think it's better not convert/rewrite your C dll to C#, but to write interop library on C# for you dll. So, you will need to distribute your original dll and C# dll.

You have two forms over here in your application. The second form display on click event of some controls, which is available in first form. Am i right so far ?.
If so, Probabily you will be doing any custom panel paint or default.
If you are doing custom painting then try to impliment Double Buffering techinicsin your paint event handler.
If not, insted of repainitng (form itself will do repainting when you chnage the status of container controls), only try to Invalidate contained controls which are really nessasary to paint.
<br />
Note : (1) Double Buffering.<br />
(2) Control Invalidating.
Please do little home work on the above mentioned ideas.

Hello gurus,
I have created a class that contains a set of different members:
- a 2D array: int[,] data;
- a string: string name;
- a Size: Size size;
- an ImageList: ImageList imageList
In my interface I have a combo box that has these classes as Tags and the combo displays the "name" member.
I wish to know how to serialize to a file and deserialize from a file the entire contents of the items of the combo box. Each items contains a class that I have described above.
Can someone show me how to do that?
Thanks.
Best regards.

The ImageList is not a serializable class, so you can't serialize it and will need to think how to reconstruct it after the de-serialization. If you mark your class with the [Serializable()] attribute and mark the imageList field with the [NonSerialized()] attribute, everything else should be done automatically by the framework.
Also, if you want to serialize a set of instances of this class, you can just put them in an array and serialize the array.
I see dead pixels

Hi,
You were thinking right... I have a set of instances of this class which is in a combo box (as described). And I wish to serialize the content of the Items of the combo and deserialize it back.
Best regards.

Does anyody know of a Dependency Walker esque application that will give me .NET assembly dependency information?
I have found the following utility :
http://www.remotesoft.com/dotexplorer/[^]
But it comes with alot of additional features that I dont want support staff to have.
post.mode = postmodes.signature;
SELECT everything FROM everywhere WHERE something = something_else;
> 1 Row Returned

Shouldn't be too hard to knock one up yourself (although it's not something I've done yet) - what features would you want to have?

how to send sms using c#.net.also i want to know the fuul concept inside it

You can't send sms just with a C# Application.
You would need the mobile phoning infrastructure,
or some contract with an Mobile Phoning Service Provider.
There is nothing like System.IO.SMS where you can do
sms.Send("This is my message", 06642304938);

Hi
I want to run a stored procedure to load records from the database into a dataset. It gives me message that the stored procedure requires a parameter @ProdIndex which is not supplied. I have debugged my code and I cannot see what the problem is. Some of the code is as follows (all my stored procedures that require parameters, are giving me similar messages):
public class ProductManager
{
public ProductManager()
{
}
public static DataSet LoadProductsSProc(int prodIndex)
{
//sproc is the Stored Procedure name
//IS THERE A BETTER WAY THAN HARD-CODING IT HERE
string sproc = "Select_Products_ProdID";
//create two-dimensional array of objects to hold the parameter name and value
//IS THERE A BETTER WAY OF DOING THIS?
object[,] parameters = new object[1,2];
parameters[0,0] = "ProdIndex";
parameters[0,1] = prodIndex;
DataSet ds = GeneralDAL.LoadObjectsDS(sproc, parameters);
return ds;
}
}
public class GeneralDAL
{
public static DataSet LoadObjectsDS(string sprocedure, object[,] parameters)
{
DataSet ds = null;
SqlConnection conn = null;
try
{
//instantiate the conn object – this works fine
conn = new SqlConnection(“database”,”server”);
conn.Open();
//create a SqlCommand object
SqlCommand sqlCmd = new SqlCommand(sprocedure, conn);
sqlCmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
//add the parameters to the SqlCommand object
for (int i=0; i

Can do it in a simpler way?
Use SQLHelper application block of Microsoft and there is nothing u to do. Also u should define SQLParametr and not object. Please let me know if u want SQLHelper class.

Check the "Do not treat <'s as HTML tags" checkbox, or use pre tags, so that all of the code will be visible.
A crucial part of the loop that creates the parameter objects is missing, so there is no telling if it is correct or not.
