I have no idea. There are hundreds of things that could generate a Permission Denied message.
Since we have no idea what your code is doing or expecting or assuming, there's just no way to tell you what's wrong.

:(hi,
I m making application in that application i have to make label and resizing and moving it in panel at runtime.I want to moving and resizing it by mouse or keyboard also. Means whenever user want to resize it by keyboard then it will be resizing by keyboard.Also I want to give minimum height and width of the label. Plz give me solution for that

Hi
As long as I don't think that label control does not get focus, it cannot support keyboard events.
But in the case of dragging and resizing it using mouse, you can use its mouse_down, mouse_move and mouse_up events to perform the move and resize programatically.
If you do need to have the keyboard moving enabled, you can use a textbox control, have its properties set so that it looks like a label. And you can now have the keyboard events raised for that.

Dear all,
Anybody know how to change the database file inside the crystal report at the VB.NET runtime?
Because of my application database is base on each project have their own database name. That's why I need the crystal report to generate the current database file.

I think its something along the lines of:
Dim crtableLogoninfo As New TableLogOnInfo
Dim crConnectionInfo As New ConnectionInfo
Dim CrTables As Tables
Dim CrTable As Table
' Set the connectioninfo
With crConnectionInfo
.ServerName = "(local)"
.DatabaseName = "pubs"
.UserID = "sa"
.Password = "asdasd"
End With
CrTables = crReportDocument.Database.Tables
' Apply the connectioninfo to each table in the report
For Each CrTable In CrTables
crtableLogoninfo = CrTable.LogOnInfo
crtableLogoninfo.ConnectionInfo = crConnectionInfo
CrTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crtableLogoninfo)
Next
I'm not sure if this is exact, but its pretty close to. I had the same problem with different customers with different servers/databases/login details. Took me awhile to solve.

Clear and basic difference between .dll and .exe file?
When the .dll and exe files are created?
Anybody know the answer send me.

In most fundamental terms, a DLL does not have it's own execution context. You cannot "run" a DLL. In order to run code in a DLL it must be loaded by an exe. DLLs are often created to allow reuse of general code, although this is not a requirement. A developer may create DLLs that are only intended for use by a single application, because a DLL allows more modular organization of code, and a DLL may be upgraded without having to redistribute a new version of an application.
DLLs are not typically form oriented. An occasional DLL may display a dialog, but most DLLs contain primarily classes with few or no forms.
For example, the NET framework is primarily composed of DLLs.
In general, a well designed application that is any larger than "small" in terms of size and complexity will consist of an EXE that provides the forms and user interface, but all business logic and real guts of the application will be organized into a logical class structure provided by DLLs.

The best place to look for solutions to this is Microsoft.
A simple search for "The server does not support debugging of ASP.NET" reveals PRB: Cannot Debug ASP.NET Web Application[^]. And if that doesn't work, you can try the results[^] returned by the search.

what you need to do is add rows dynamically to the table source of the datagrid
for eg:- you have a material table as a datasource to your datagrid.Now you dynamically add rows to this table.The rows added are material detail selected by user.
the user selects specific material from the drop down combobox
here is a sample code snippet
Private Sub btnadd_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnadd.Click
Dim drow As DataRow = material.NewRow
Dim drv As DataRowView = CType(cmbmatnam.SelectedItem, DataRowView)
Try
drow("column1") = drv("mat_id")
drow("Column2") = drv("mat_name")
drow("Column3") = drv("Rate")
drow("Column4") = drv("Quantity")
drow("Column6") = "Enter Quantity"
material.Rows.Add(drow)
material.AcceptChanges()
Catch ex1 As System.NullReferenceException
MessageBox.Show("There are No Materials In this Category")
Catch ex2 As System.Data.ConstraintException
MessageBox.Show("Material Is already Selected")
Catch ex As Exception
MessageBox.Show(ex.Message)
End Try
End Sub
I hope this helps

You'll have to be alot more specific than this. What do you want to do with this?
Keep in mind, that since the CPU is sleeping, you're code isn't running!

I am trying to build a relation using 2 fields in each table. I am getting the following error:
BC30518: Overload resolution failed because no accessible 'Add' can be called with these arguments
When trying it with the following syntax:
objDs.Relations.Add("RelationName", objDs.Tables("Table1").Columns("Field1","Field2"), objDs.Tables("Table2").Columns("Field1","Field2"))
I have not been able to find any examples using 2 key fields in each table. Please let me know if this is the correct syntax and if not give me an example.
Thanks for any help!

What I am trying to do is this. I create a dataset which is then populated from a database for the purpose of displaying in a datagrid. But what I wish to do is, before it goes to the datagrid for displaying, I want to insert a new column into the dataset and fill it with calculated data.
I have scoured the net looking for a solution but to no avail. So basically I want to add a column to a dataset that has already been filled and then add data to that column as its calculated.

Off the top of my head (I did something similar recently), remember that columns are a collection within the dataset.
So, something along the lines of:
dataset.tables("MyTable").Columns.add (col)
You'd have to define Col as a column first with details such as name, type, size etc - check out the vs help for that, quite easy.
.....
infact, just found the code for you
....
Dim col as New DataColumn
col.ColumnName = "CustomerName"
col.DataType = GetType(string)
dataset.Tables(0).Columns.Add(col)
Hope this helps

Its half working but I'm getting a
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
On the "fix.Tables(0).Columns.Add(col)" Part of the code.

Got it working, Cheers. I was adding my column before I had populated my DataSet. Such a schoolboy error.

Hi all,
I am enhancing an existing VB 6.0 application to support Arabic Language. I converted almost all the forms and controls in the Right-to-left reading order including the MsgBox's. The text and the captions of all the controls are also displaying in Arabic. But the problem is that the OK, Cancel, Retry buttons, etc. in the MsgBox still displays in english language only. Is there any method to display the MsgBox button captions also in Arabic? Please help me in this regard.
Thanks in Advance,
Padmakumar.
