Thank you.
I just want to create a self defined toolbar.There is just one command that all the buttons are handled .Only difference is that the buttons have different string attached.
Then I can fetch the string for advanced processing.
Thank you very much.

HI
How to update the View from other class not from Doc class?
bye
|
|
|
|
|
Why do you not want the document to update the view? The view is supposed to render what the document contains. When the document changes, it notifies the view that it needs to be updated. It makes sense that you should be updating the document and let it notify the view through normal channels.

Hi,
// for SDI apps
CFrameWnd *pFrame = (CFrameWnd *) AfxGetMainWnd();
CDocument *pDoc = pFrame->GetActiveDocument();
pDoc->UpdateAllViews(NULL);
// for MDI apps
CMDIChildWnd * pChild =
((CMDIFrameWnd*)(AfxGetApp()->m_pMainWnd))->MDIGetActive();
CDocument *pDoc = pChild->GetActiveDocument();
pDoc->UpdateAllViews(NULL);

I'm developing an app that opens a connection to a database and makes a massive import to many tables of it.
To do that I open and close the tables several times in some loop statements.
The problem is that, when I open a table the service of the sql server (sqlservr.exe) increases the usage of the cpu it uses.
When I close the table it should release the resources, but it doesn't!
Does anyone know if there is a setting of the sql server that must be changed to do that?
Thanks in advance

So are you concerned with CPU usage, or resource consumption?

I mean the CPU usage.
So, after plenty opens of tables I have serious memory problems!!!
Thanks

So is it the high CPU usage, or the serious memory problems that are bothering you? It's been five years since I've used SQL Server but I do recall it having a good profiler. SQL Server, in and of itself, is a very big application. For it to continue to tax the CPU even after you've closed a table is not surprising. I would not expect that to continue for any longer than a minute or so. Memory consumption is different, however. The number(s) you see in Task Manager are a bit misleading. Read the last part of this article for an explanation.

One problem with this sort of question is that there are so many ways to access ODBC from C++.
If you are calling the SQL API with functions such as SQLExecDirect then you must remember to call
SQLFreeStmt
SQLDisconnect
and SQLFreeConnect
Also, check to see if the CPU is freed up after your program terminates. This would be an indication that the program clean up is doing something that you are forgetting to.

Can you write something other than a <script> tag?

I can add HTML tag using IHTMLTextRange::pasteHTML().
I tried to insert the tag using the same way.
And tried to call some function in this .js file on the click. (That code also I have added dynamically using IHTMLTextRange::pasteHTML()).
But On Click I am getting the error message "Object Requred". ie it is not able to find the function.
Thats why I tried with iHTMLDocument2::writeln().
But after inserting this code, nothing is coming and the whole page became blank.
But the message on the status bar is "Downloading the js file"
And if you statically add the script tag, the function will execute successfully

I used to do it using insertAdjacentHtml[^] after positioning at the desired point in the html document.

Thanks for your kind reply.
But, if we insert a tag to insert a line to add a referance to the a .js file and if you add some code to call a function in the .js file, it will tell "Error: Object Required", means the .js file referance we add using insertAdjacentHtml is not there.
What should i do in such cases.
My requrement is to add dynamically a <script> tag to add a reference to a js file and make a call to any function in the js file.

Are you sure that the new line is inserted where and like you want? I mean that it'd be better to check the source code and view it to ensure that it's written like you need.
One test that I'd perform is to take this new source code and paste it in a new html file and then load it in the browser to be sure that it works fine.
I hope it helps.

Is it possible to auto detect the IP address of the server while your on a client pc
|
|
|
|
|
how will the client get connected to a server without knowing the server address :->
|
|
|
|
|
i think so too because the client will really need to know the IP address of the PC it will going to connect into. Just trying if there's a way

If have any query pls ask
|
|

|

thanx for the offer, I guess i'll just look for some very good articles about network programming
|
|
|
|
|
That depends, if the server you are looking for is in the same network as you are, you can set up a service which makes use of broadcasts. The same way how DHCP works...

Can you please help me how a self duplicating program works?
If the program is executed, it will create a copy of its own on whatever directory it desires. It will duplicate once it is being executed. Please help, I really need to know for my topic How virus works in school, self-duplicate is a part of my topic.
