There is no need to post your question 4 times.
There are a number of ways to do what you want to do, but without knowing your skill level I can't provide you with any help. If you had a specific question I could probably easily help.
Completely and utterly guessing here.
Create a client side record set, when the client changes the grid or what ever update the database.
On the admin side, randomly pool the database for changes. Update the ui as needed.
That’s about the simplest way that I can think of off the top of my head.
The technologies you will need to know are VB and ADO, should be very easy…
And what is a Matrik? Could it be Matrix? For a "Matrix" you will need a grid of one sort or another, VB has two or three that are fairly easy to work with. When you get stuck feel free to ask a specific question.

Read up on HyperThreading technology from www.intel.com[^].
Basically, an HT processor is (almost) equivalent to two.

With all due respect, I think you need to spend a little more time doing some basic research of your own.

counting the words in a file (txt, rtf, doc) after loading it to a RichTextBox differ than the counter in the MSWord...sometimes more, sometimes less...trying with many files...
with getting notice that the file type as a Rich Text Box Stream Type (ex: PlainText, UnicodePlainText or RichText)..
so, why this problem????!!!

Simple - they use different algorithms to determine the number of words. Choose one app and stick with it otherwise you're comparing apples with oranges.

i'm sorry Mr. Pullan
but how two algorithms solve one problem and each of them give diffrent answer...
one of them should be right!
Thanx Steve

They are both right in their own way.
They count words differently from each other. There are many control codes in a Word document which are only interpreted correctly by Word itself. Any other program may consider the control characters themselves to be words or beginning of words or ending of words or garbage etc...
The only way to get a consistent answer is to use the application from which the file was created in the first place.

If you simply Google the title of your post - add checkbox control to a subitem in a listview - you'll get the answer you seek.

When loading a (txt, rtf, Doc ,bhk) file
this exception appears:
An unhandled exception has occured in yoyur application....etc
the process cannot access file "c:\Test.txt" because it is being used by another process.
so, how can i solve this problem, and why this problem came up?

Trap the error in a Try..Catch block and wait for the file to become free. By the looks of it you have it open in another program (Notepad, etc...) so simply close the other app and away you go.
You may also want to see how you are attempting to open the file and change the lock type accordingly. If only for reading you may have a chance of accessing it whilst another process has it in use (unless it is locked for exclusive use of course). Ditto for writing. In either case the OS is protecting the file from inadvertent damage when two processes attempt access concurrently.

I wanted to make a tool to change my avatar on yahoo messneger ever so often.
So I started a vb project a pulled in what i could from the yahoo install folder.
there is a function YPAGERLib.IHTMLFriendIconsCallback.friendIconsSelectIcon(string)
that i think will do what i want. So I started with "Imports YPAGERLib" then later "dim yahoo as YPAGERLib.IHTMLFriendIconsCallback" and eventually tried calling "yahoo.friendIconsSelectIcon(string)"
Oh I also tried this http://plugins.yme.music.yahoo.com/plugins/docs/vbnetplugin_page.html
method for setting up the interop dlls not an exact fit but i thought it would get me close to my goal.
The code compiles but will not run i get a message saying "retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {some numbers}failed due to the following error: 80040154"
I am assuming there is something i am missing hopefully simple
thanks

How can I change the text value of a label on a form from a module?
Thanks
|
|

In proper OOP design, you shouldn't be. Modules are for library functions and should have absolutely nothing to do with user interface maintenance at all.
But, to answer yhour question, you'll have to add a parameter to the function that accepts a reference to a TextBox. Once the function has that, it's easy.
Public Sub DoSomething(ByRef tbControl As TextBox, ByVal value As Integer)
tbControl.Text = "Some text..."
End Sub

Ok thanks for the response. Let me back up and explain what I want to do.
On my form the user clicks a button which calls a function in a module. The function has a Do Loop in it and I want the user to see how many times (in real time) the function is looping by setting the value of the label.text = numberofloops. What is the best approach to this?

Hi. You're obviously also new to the internet. There's this thing called google[^]. If you search there, or even on this site using it's own search, you're bound to find articles on such a basic, common task.
