Hello,
I am using a box control (BUTTON) and I would like to know if there is a way of getting the position where the box line and text is drawn. I would like to use this information to place controls inside the box to make sure they don't touch the line border or text part.
Thanks

Hi
I have some programm and i like to extend it.
My programm has a device class to comunicate via GPIB with some external devices. Now i like to add a dll that also uses this or some methods of this class. There for i'd like to send the needed methods by function pointers to the dll.
So is this possible and if so how to manage. So far i know this will work with function pointers calling global methods but what about member functions??

Hello everyone!
OK, I have a game here... it seems that the variables reinitialize themselves to big negative numbers or even null, either right after I initialize them or later on... for example:
<br />
this->mapFile = file;<br />
this->width = w;<br />
this->height = h;<br />
this->bytes = width*height;<br />
this->bHasBeatenMaze = false;<br />
<br />
c_red = FOREGROUND_RED|FOREGROUND_INTENSITY|BACKGROUND_INTENSITY;
If I put a breakpoint at the last line, all of the variables in this , even those that I just initialized (width, height, etc.), were set back to negative values... Do any of you have any idea of why this is happening? Thanks!

"Rebuild All"? Where's that? I think I've seen it before... is "Rebuild Mazzee" or "Rebuild Solution" the same?
I tried those, but now it won't stop at the breakpoint I gave it, even though it has been on that section, since it's the class initializer for the game's main class, which the game can't run without...
There's a ghost in my computer! Help! Thanks!

Hello.
Don't despair, there is a perfectlly logical explanation for everything.
But I can't seem to find it.
I was talking about VC 6, which I'm using.
I suggest you use both "Rebuild" commands. IMO, the most likely explanation is chaos between your object files, which can give the most interesting results...
I don't know how to rebuild the entire project in .NET, so I can't tell you how it's done.
But I'm pretty sure a total rebuild is what's needed.

Hello.
Yepp, that's a total rebuild. Maybe you should investigate the linker warning further.
Now, the debugger should work as expected.
Godd luck.

i need to buld this system can any one help me ????
the saniro
The Ethernet Public Address System consists of a central system controller, a microphone and a speaker. It uses Ethernet as its communication media. Each microphone module or speaker module contains a RabbitCore 2000 processor which handles the communication process. The central control system controls the communication between microphone and speaker.
The central controller assigns an IP address to any module when it is plugged into the Ethernet. It then controls which speakers the voice goes to from a microphone. Every time a user wants to broadcast a message via EPAS, he/she can determine which speakers the voice should be sent to via settings on the central controller.
The portability of microphone and speaker modules makes things so much simpler. A microphone module can be made available in any room, provided that the room is cabled with Ethernet. A further advantage of the system derives from the fact that, by using Ethernet, the EPAS becomes totally flexible. Microphone modules or speaker module can be added or taken off at any time.

Hi there,
I have this data which is a typical statement. It has a column named TRA.DATE and below are listed all the dates for a specific customer order.
I was wondering whether it is possible to sort this column TRA.DATE into ascending order?
If there is way, i can send out the date for anyone to have a look at, at this might make things a little easier.
But i know you can implement linked lists, but are they any easy and less complex methods of doing so?
I am a beginner at C, but trying to teach myself at the same time.
Any help would be appreciated!

this is a typical SQL question, which should end up into the SQL forum.
anyway, just add at the end of your SELECT an ORDER BY TRA.DATE ASC statement (before the ending ;).

Hi,
IT isnt an SQL question at all - infact i was asking whether it can be done in C. I dont want to use SQL at all.
I dont think you understood my question - i have data which needs to be sorted so iwas thinknig writing a program in C which sorts the 'date' in ascending order.
My question was if there is an easier and less complex way of going about this in C.
Thanks

Can anyone tell me how to change the text of a property page. There's a method SetWindow Text, but calling this method before the property page is shown results in an ASSERTION, because there's no window handle in this stage. Calling this method afterwards doesn't seem to have any effect.
I see only the text I assigned to the property page in the ressource editor.
I'm using the method creating a CPropertySheet and method add page to create my property sheet.
Hope anyone cann make me a bit wiser in this thing. Thanks.

hi, i am getting started with a very resource intensive app, i was wondering if there is any speed difference between the following three versions of a function (assuming they are not inlined):
int func1() {return 0;}<br />
<br />
namespace testns {<br />
int func2() {return 0;}<br />
};<br />
<br />
class testclass {<br />
static int func3() {return 0;}<br />
};<br />
<br />
void main() {<br />
func1();<br />
testns::func2();<br />
testclass::func3();<br />
}
any help is appreciated

How you tried putting some timer code around each call, or running the code through the profiler to see?
