Do you just want larger targets for the touch screen? If so, just change their Height and Width properties to affect that. Ensure that the larger controls do not overlap.

I'm running beta 2, and there is a testing framework(?) built into it. Check out the (would you have guessed it?) Test menu.

Hi.
I need a sample code that using it I can first delete all records in database (make database empty), then insert one row in it.
my database is Access, and languge C#.
Please help me in this context with complete code.
Thank's very much.
Best wishes

Well, at least you said please!
1) You give no details of the database tables, the table you want to insert into or any evidence that you have tried this yourself.
2) You EXPECT complete code? You will find a number of people here charge a good daily rate for coding, others are hobbyists who also give alot of time to a community such as CP. However, almost everyone is prepared to answer questions if the person shows SOME initiative (even a little). In your case there was ZERO!
3) Read How to get answers to your questions[^]

I've got an interesting Error on a recent program i've written that i am hoping someone could shed some light on.
My program at the moment consists of a main form and 2 word document programs written using vsto the entire things was written and tested in vs team system 2005 now i've written a set up program that essentially installs all the files and then registers the directory the word documents and their dll files are in with caspol.exe now on my computer it works just fine when i test the installation.
however i used my girlfriends computer as another test platform the install went fine she didn't have the .net 2.0 framework so the bootstrap loaded fine and it installed the framework it then proceded to install the app that all ran smooth and quick so i run the program and everything is working as it should.
but as soon as i try to open either of the word documents word gives the following error:
"The assembly * could not be found at or could not be loaded."
and yes that's the whole error message i have no clue where to even start....
if anyone has any ideas please let me know
thanks so much

Ok this is a first for me I'm replying to my own post but i figured it out on my own and i figured it might benefit others so here goes.
Running on a hunch i decided to grab the VSTO runtime from msdn and install it on my girlfriends computer and viola works like a charm.
so i simply added a Process object in my custom installer class to install the VSTO runtime and now the installation works like a charm.
I do however have a side question if anyone cares to help
the file vstor.exe gives a few command line switches one in particular is /Q which it says is for quiet mode for installations now to me that means it runs completely in the background zero user interaction. well even with the /Q switch it still loads it's installation form. if anyone knows how to completely disabble that and still install the runtime it would be much appreciated

I just downloaded vstor.exe and have confirmed your dilemma. It seems that the /Q flag does not get passed to the installer. If you want to do this, here's what I recommend:- Run vstor.exe
- When the installer form appears, open Explorer to "%TEMP%\IXP000.TMP"
- Copy all of those files to a "happy" place
- Cancel the installation
- Roll your own installation using those copied files and the command "install.exe /q"
Sometimes, even Microsoft makes mistakes with their installation programs....

As a wise man once said Where does the first link lead you?[^]
So, you can use a regex as the above link will no doubt tell you, that will tell you if the email address is in the correct format.
You could also look for a webservice that will validate an email address as active - google will tell you more.
However, what did you mean by "I dont want to use a Validator"? Is this a web form or a winform?

Hi every one,
Wish u a happy new year !!!!
I am trying to develop a windows application which will run on touch screen LCD monitor.
but the touch screen requires bigger option button,check boxes, tab pages, scroll bars etc. in such a way that the enduser select the controls using his finger.
How can i adapt the .net windows controls for the touch screen application (like changing size,graphics etc.,)?
or is there any special controls available for touch screen in .net?
or is there any tool available to convert the normal controls to touch screen controls??
Please help...
Thanks & Regards,

hi
i have a program where I want to change the value of BrowsableAttributes.The
problem is like this:
I have a property called Simulation which can have values either On or Off.If it is On i want to show property called OnText along with other properties and hide OffText property and if is Off i want to hide OnText and show OffText along with the common properties.
For this i feel i have to change the value of BrowsableAttributes.but it doesn't allow me to do so as it is readonly.
Kindly suggest me a way to get around this problem.
thanks

hi!
try to implement the ICustomTypeDescriptor interface on your control. then in the GetProperties overloaded methods, iterate all the properties then set the new attributes you want depending on your condition.
here's an example:
<code>
//custom method to prevent redundant statement
private PropertyDescriptorCollection x_HideShowProperties(PropertyDescriptorCollection baseProps)
{
PropertyDescriptor[] props = null;
for (int i = 0; i < baseProps.Count; i++)
{
if (/*condition here*/)
{
if (props == null)
{
props = new PropertyDescriptor[baseProps.Count];
baseProps.CopyTo(props, 0);
}
props[i] = TypeDescriptor.CreateProperty(
this.GetType(), baseProps[i], new BrowsableAttribute(false),
new DesignerSerializationVisibilityAttribute(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Hidden));
}
}
if (props == null)
{
return baseProps;
}
else
{
return new PropertyDescriptorCollection(props);
}
}
PropertyDescriptorCollection ICustomTypeDescriptor.GetProperties()
{
return x_HideShowProperties(TypeDescriptor.GetProperties(this, true));
}
public PropertyDescriptorCollection GetProperties(Attribute[] attributes)
{
return x_HideShowProperties(TypeDescriptor.GetProperties(this, attributes, true));
}
</code>
then on your property(Simulation), add the attribute "RefreshProperties(RefreshProperties.All)".
this will refresh the propertygrid.
if your not yet familiar on this interface, just try to research it on the msdn or other .net help sites.
hope that helps.
