I should have it.. since I designed it ...
It's framework2.0... anyway ... it's probably a virus... formating should solve it ...

Did you write the .NET Framework 2 on your own or get some of your mates to help?

I cannot name any specific virus, but I think a lot of them try to attach themselves to .exe files and are not aware that .NET assemblies have a different file format.

What do you mean "execute a program written in DotNET ?"? Did you write this program yourself? What compiler are you using?? Use ildasm first to make sure you have a valid .Net Assembly let alone something that is runable.

Hi all, i have a question: it's possible to fill a dataset with all the tables of my database?
thanx
|
|
|
|

I think it may be possible. The dataset has Tables collection which stores all the tables that u are storing. U have to test it by using maximum number of tables.

Thanx but i can fill my dataset with select command, and the select command it's possible only at one table.
If i have a database with no tables and i want to adding a table by code i dont know how i can do this.

I had the same question a while ago... it's verry simple
you take a command object for example :
OleDbCommand createTable = new OleDbCommand();
createTable.Connection = aValidConnectionObject;
createTable.CommandText = "CREATE TABLE TableName
{
obj varchar(0),
}
";
I'm not sure on the sql part... but that is the main idea.
I have an example written at school .. have to look into it!

referring to this thread [^] :
i use access 2003 and i'm creating a software that uses Access Database (.mdb) jointly the .exe to archive some information.
I don't want to use SQL server or MySQL couse i've not the license and i don't want the user forced to buy one.
So i use Microsoft Access Database that is more elastic and easy.
Now when i got intallation of Access 2003 i don't saw the option JET or Other... so how can decide to install the one more performant Access?
If i decide to use JET with Access 2003, how do i create store procedure within?
Referring to crypted password within webconfig, can you show me some web pages that talk about that?
Vary vary thanks

how to impove efficiency by using BULK INSERT statement?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
hi, all
the flow we used.
A.txt ---format by row--->B.txt---using BULK INSERT statement---> SQL Server (tableC).
after import data to tableC, we need create indexes on tableC.
Now, we have many clients have files which rather than 2GB. so we need impove efficiency to import data to SQL server.
Any assistance would be really appreciated.

I have a simple class in which I will be making several objects from. Similar to WinForm controls I want to utilize some form of String attribute called Name to identify each object uniquely. Is there an easy way to have the maintaining of the list of names automatically handled?
If there isn’t, I’m thinking of building a name manager system. Essentially just a factory pattern which accepts names (a String) and returns objects based on this. If the user tries to set the name to an object already in use, the factory wouldn’t return null, therefore the system disallows it. I’m curious to know if and how generics can play a part in making this work better. In other words, with generics would it be possible to build the factory to know that the name attribute was used on class ABC and therefore always return type ABC?

You can use a static HashTable in the class to keep track of the objects. In the constructor, add a reference to the object itself to the list. Create a static method that checks the list for an object by name.
A factory to create the instances might be a good idea. Just make a static method in the class to create an instance, and make the constructor private so it can only be used by the factory method.

Dear friends...i'm developing windows base c# application by using Janus controls.
In my application i'm use XSD to populate data to various controls.
e.g: In my XSD there r 3 tables.
1.tblSales : populate sales person combo
2.tblcustomer : populate customer combo
3.tblItems : Populate items grid
when i load particular windows form it takes 1 to 2 minute load.i think this is problem with data binding to controls.
therefore does any one know how to reduse this loading time.

I have a VB exe that invokes a remote web service via CCW (COM Callable Wrapper). The CCW serialises the input passed by the VB app, then invoke the web service. I am getting the following error message at one of the installation sites.
Unable to generate a temporary class
(result=-1073741819).|error CS0647: Error emitting
'System.Security.Permissions.PermissionSetAttribute' attribute --
'Unspecified error '|error CS0647: Error emitting .......
and it repeats this last part (about PermissionSetAttribute) many times...
Any ideas what might be happening here?
Thanks!

hi all,
so I know what the constructor does. Is there also a destructor for
C# classes?
and is it invoked when I do a
set myobject = nothing
?
also, if Im creating one of those classes that you DONT have to
instantiate (what are they called again?), how does the constructor
and destructor get called?
and is it a good idea to put stuff in the constructor and destructor
in those type of classes?
thanks

moazzamahmed wrote: Is there also a destructor for

Yes, it's called Finalize.
moazzamahmed wrote: and is it invoked when I do a

No. It's invoked when the garbage collector is about to remove the object.
If you need to do any cleanup in your object, you should inherit the IDisposable interface and implement the Dispose method.

Do you mean a static class? As you don't instantiate it, the constructor or destructor aren't used. Actually, you should declare a private constructor so that noone can create an instance of the class. However, you can also declare a static constructor for the class, that will be called once when the library is loaded.

fabulous! thanks Guffa.
so whats the use of static classes over non-static? which ones should
we use for what TYPE of object? whats better for speed and performance?
I was thinking, if a class is basically just utilities, it should be static.
But if its something that has properties etc. e.g., a "contact", its should
be instantiated.
Am I on the right track?
thanks again.
