Maybe you can try this?
In your CSS document create a class like so:
.Top
{
position:absolute;
top:0px;
width:100%;
max-height:100%;
overflow:hidden;
}
and then create a bottom part like this:
.Bottom
{
position:absolute;
bottom:0px;
width:100%;
max-height:100%;
overflow:hidden;
}
Now, when you define the classes in div it would look something like this:
and bottom:
everything between top and bottom will scroll under the top and bottom classes.
hope it helps!!

I have noticed in Netscape and Opera that web sites can display an icon in the address bar just before http:// as this site does.
I am interested in doing this for my web site but have no idea what is involved.
Can anyone help?
old, but still trying new things!

Thank you so much for the prompt response!! I will try out the suggestion on the link you gave me.
I did search the site for this topic but perhaps worded it wrongly.
Again, Thanks.
Never too old to learn!

I followed the instructions and now have my icon appearing in Netscape and Firefox.
It does NOT work with IE 6.01 SP 1
I am currently using IE and the Codeproject icon does not appear either.
This would appear to be consistent with Microsoft wanting to over-ride anything that interferes with their logo and also attempting to take over all types of MEDIA using their own products.

Weird, try bookmarking the page and IE only then downloads the icon... I just tried a quick google[^] and it seems *it's by design*
I don't think your going to get around it unfortunately

After playing around for a few hours, it is true that any page on a site that is added to Favorites in IE, AND where favicon is present in the root, that page will always display the site icon.
Thanks for your help and pointers on this matter.

That depends on how you load the next page.
You can put values in the querystring of the URL.
You can put a value in a hidden form field.

Are you checking to make sure your record set has values? Are you displaying a single record because I do not see a loop.
|
|
|
|
|
i'm onie trying to display a single value..act i'm not sure on how to set the value of RS....i'm soooo new to this
|
|
|
|
|
I believe you can do without the response.write( ) in that line ... so just use <% RS("Name") %>
~ Munky

I believe that you are thinking of the short form of Response.Write:
<%=RS("Name")%>
which is exactly the same as:
<%Response.Write(RS("Name"))%>

i want to know how textarea can be converted into htmlarea
Sam Moon

What do you mean by "htmlarea"?
If you mean an element with the contenteditable property set, then no. You have to create a new element with the contenteditable property, and copy the contents from the textarea into it.

I have designed a website layout entirely in div's.
The layout appears perfect in IE.6 but is everything is out of wack in other browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, Opera).
The page can be viewed here:

Your positioning depends on IE-specific positioning bugs, but doesn't trigger quirks-mode in other browsers because of the DOCTYPE declaration. It mostly works if you change that to one that triggers quirks mode.
Not to be harsh, but i didn't look at it too hard because the CSS is a mess - i assume this is software-generated?

Thanks man, I didn't think it would be so simple!!
I'm relatively new to web design and greatly appreciate your help.
I'll be doing a bit of reading on DOCTYPES now!

Remove the xml declaration tag at the beginning. IE can't handle that, so it ignores the doctype.
