try this if it suits you
As far as my perception goes you need the folderpath where the file is contained.
So why don't you Trim the string by the file name.
In this way you would be able to get the path of the folder.
This is a crude way. You may get some even better ways of doing this

Create a simple single-dialog based MFC application by using MFC application wizard in VC++ 6. For the EXE program generated, would it possible to let the EXE take in CmdLine parameters like switches e.g. "-t", "-a" etc?

You can use COM automation to launch MS Word, open an HTML file and save it as a Word document. Have a look on MSDN under Office Development.

Hi,
I'm writing an application and I need to launch Windows Media Player programmatically.
I'd like to do that as simply as entering "wmplayer.exe" in Windows Run utility.
Can someone help?
Thanks,
Allad

Better use CreateProcess, it give more control to calling application to control new application

Hi all:
I have a struct like following:
struct {
float x, y, z;
} Vector;
Vector v1, v2;
at some time, I want v1 and v2 to be a single variable what I mean is that v1 v2 are always containing the same value and whenever I change the value of v1, v2 will be changed automatically. For some reason somewhere else the program, I can't declare v1, v2 as pointers Vectorv *v1, *v2 explicitly. I tried &v1 = &v2. But obviously it doesn't work. Does anybody have a solution for this problems please???
Thanks alot!!!

Well, if V1 == V2 ( always ), then remove one or the other.
or make V2 a reference to V1;
Vector V1;
Vector& V2 = V1;
