Chances to receive a reply are much higher if you ask in the comments section of the article itself. The general C# forum isn't the correct place.

You need a DataGrid instead of the ListView .
In a ListView you can only select lines.

1. I'm writing a process manager and by the sounds EnterDebugMode is what I want to set, but how do I go about setting MY program to it as the method doesnt seem to be available to Process objects, is it really just as simple as Process.EnterDebugMode()/Process.LeaveDebugMode() without any associated object ?
2. I've got an 'oncolumnclick' sorting method that works fine but when I refresh my listview the sorting disappears, presumably theres an easy way to keep it (my refresh method involves clearing the whole thing and repopulating it) is there a way of figuring out which column was the last to be clicked and then sending a message to programatically 'reclick' it on refresh ?
TIA.

I have almost completed my application. I have created another form called DXSettings what I want (C# 2003) is code for the form DXSettings button btnwall to change a image in a PctWall in MainMenu Form. (Main menu will be open first) I used a Open File dialog. How would you do this?
In the end we're all just the same

Hi
I am not sure what exactly u r trying to do. But to change an image in another form it is so simple
Diclare the picture box or the component whose image you nee to change as public
create the opject of that form in your form
Then go for the below code
xx.Image = Image.FromFile("c:\\abcd\\xyz.jpg");
Hope this helps you.

I think you have to declare a MainMenu form variable in DxSettings From class. After initialize DXSettings, you have to set that variable. Make PctWall as public or internal (if DxSetting is not in separate project) in Mainform(Default is private). Look at sample.
In MainForm...
public (or internal) PctWall <--- change this
In the Method that create DxSetting Form
DxSettings dx = new DXSettings();
dx.mainForm = this;
// open DxSettings form.
In DxSettings Form...
private MainForm mainform;
In btnwall Button click event handler in DxSettings Form...
mainForm.PctWall.Image = // set whatever you want.
Enjoy!

I want insted to save the settings to an XML file. Here is what I want:
I have Settings.exe and when you select an Image in a combobox it will save the information in a XML file so when you load MainMenu.exe the picturebox pctwall is changed to the image you specified. how would you do this? Its easier to udate program this way
In the end we're all just the same

I see someone coding today. I found that his SQL statement got @ symbol in front of it. what is @ that mean?
Examples Coding:-
sqlText = @"SELECT DISTINCT
TOP 100 PERCENT dbo.Member.id,
=========================================
what is the @ meaning and why need it??
any one can tell me.
Thank you^^

Its not the sql statement with the @ in, the @ signifies that its a verbatim literal string iirc.

Alrighty. So I'm using Visual C# 2005 Express, pretty new to programming in a Windows environment. Writing a program that loads mp3 filenames from a playlist into a gridlined listview. Nothing spectacular. However, the listview seems to become skewed when scrolling. To be precise, there are no problems when I scroll by dragging the scrollbar up or down, or when I use the arrow keys, or when I use PGUP/DN; however, if I scroll by pages (ie, clicking on the scrollbar), the gridlines and text get messy and are not drawn evenly. What's going on?

I have my main application.
MainMenu.
I have another form DynamiXPad
I want the DynamIXPad to appear on a certian location on the MainMenu form. But I want the user to be able to click items on the MainMenu without the DynamiXPad form being hid. How would you do this? You click button load form2 and it will load. I thought... Can you load the form onto a panel? So it appears on a panel? That would be better...
In the end we're all just the same

Have you looked at MDIContainers?
|
|
|
|
|
form1.MaximizeBox = false;
form1.MinimizeBox = false;
form1.Dock = DockStyle.Fill;
form1.TopLevel = false;
panel1.Controls.Add(form1);
form1.Show();
form1.BringToFront();

I assume you want to create an AVI container file with a video stream and add your images as video frames.
If that's what you're trying to do, look here:
AviFileWrapper[^]
If you need a stable solution, search for DirectX examples.
