I have an application that uses one or more pre-shared AES256 Keys.
Obviously it's not safe to save them in the configuration files, nor put them in the code because you can decompile it with ILDASM.
So, how can I store them in a safe way?
Thanks.

It can also be found by ILDASM, however in stead of simply having the key directly as a variable you could "bury" it within some of the resources (e.g. a Bitmap the the program is using).

It could be an idea. Thanks.

Hi friends,
Am exporting data from .NET to Excel..Depending upon the datatype ,am setting the Format of the Cells in the particular range in Excel.
In .NET ,am reading the data using select statement and updating the datas seperately in the Excel and then the Format of the stored datas..
If there's Date field or Time Field,.NET is reading both the datas as DateTime only.So while transferring,though the datas are stored correctly,when i use the same Excel as source to export to someother target,the datatype of the DateField is fetched as String,which i want to be as DateTime...
Am using this to set the range,ie,
mExcelRange.EntireColumn.NumberFormat = "m/d/yyyy";

|
|
|
|
Write a little function to parse the field content by yourself.
Standard C: scanf("%i/%i/%i",&month,&day,&year);
|
|
|
|
|
|
Try:
DateTime.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy");
---
You may want to have a look at the System.Globalization.DateTimeFormat class for more information.

I want to remove some items from an ArrayList. Can I do that using a foreach(…)- loop an IEnumerator like this.
foreach(string s in arraylist)<br />
{<br />
if (s == "del")<br />
{<br />
}<br />
}
Any ideas how to solve this without creating a new ArrayList and add items I want to save. Feels like that solution will bee to time consuming…
All tips are welcomed!.

Check out ArrayList.Remove(). I think that will do the job for you.

Yeah!!
something like this:
int iIndex = 0;<br />
while( iIndex < arrayList.Count)<br />
{<br />
if(
{<br />
arrayList.RemoveAt( iIndex);<br />
}<br />
else<br />
{<br />
iIndex++;<br />
}<br />
}

Hi APe,
Whenever you need to remove any item/s from an ArrayList, and that too by looping then you always need to traverse the ArrayList in reverse order.
This requirement cannot be achieved using an foreach statement. So, I think you would need to use the 'FOR' loop, as follows:
<br />
for (int i = testList.Count-1; i >= 0; i--)<br />
{<br />
if(CONDITION is TRUE)<br />
{<br />
testList.RemoveAt(i);<br />
}<br />
}<br />

Can we use Multiple catch Block with general catch Block?

I really don't know what you are trying to ask...
Q:What does the derived class in C# tell to it's parent?
A:All your base are belong to us!

|

|
Please be clearer so we can help you. In case this is what you're asking about, it's perfectly legal to write
try
{
}
catch(InvalidOperationException e)
{
}
catch(FileNotFoundException ex)
{
}
catch
{
}

hi all, currently i am trying to develop a application to send message as a sms text thru a GPRS card (Novatel merlin wireless card GSM/GPRS/UMTS)
in a notebook.
The card does not supply any sdk/com components in order for me to invoke its function.
Is it possible to perform smsing using the Microsoft TAPI3.0?
There are commercial applications out there, but am really want to know how the whole thing works.
will appreciate if any one has examples/samples.
Thanks and best regards to all.

You can use Microsoft SMS Sender[^]. It's a little program compatible with most of the mobile phones and GPRS cards that run on COM ports.
You can send SMS programmatically using its command line arguments.
