I am trying to access xterm and xxgdb from SSH to implement semaphore in synch.h and synch.cc, but I keep getting the message explicit kill or server shutdown. Is there any otherway I can do the semaphore implementation.

Whenever I select from a page in a given subweb It fires up a second aspnet_wp.exe. This one has a memory leak in it and goes until it is recycled. As a result the page load is really slow. Any idea what causes the second one to come up?

This is because I have 2.0 and 1.1 on the same web server. My problem turned out to be data base related.

You'll have to be much more specific about this.
But, if you want to find all the IP's that are in use on your network, you'll need a Network Scanner. What you'll do is ping every IP address on your network and show the ones that respond. BUT! There's a catch. Machines can be configured to not respond to pings, and so won't show up in a scan like this.

How to find host name who is using 61.247.251.97 in my LAN?
i got the systems ip by hostname.
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ping ist8
Pinging ist8 [61.247.251.100] with 32 bytes of data:

Open a command prompt and type NSLOOKUP. Type the IP into the prompt and it should tell you what the host name is, IF the IP can be resolved to one.

You could setup Policies to change it or hack the new setting into the Registry directly then reboot. Find an application that can rotate images and set that up.
If you wanted to do it manually, you've found the only way.

If you are running windows xp system, just right click on an image in windows explorer and choose the command Set as Desktop Background.

1. Use remote desktop connection to access and change the wallpaper on the remote computer.
2. Use MMC.exe and add Group Policies Object Editor snap-in and it will ask whether you connect to the remote computer or local computer. Choose connect to the remote computer and type in the computer name or IP address of the remote computer. Then configure the policies on the remote computer to use the specific wallpaper that you prefer.

You could do it that way or you could right-click My Computer, Manage, open System Tools, Shared Folders, Sessions.

It is prorbably pre beta release of sp3. I don't know where i have read but final sp3 will come out when windows vista will be released

It's used for controlling IP Tunneling, Filtering and forcing certain authenitcation methods on negotiated connections.
Generally, you don't want to mess with this. If you don't what you're doing, you could easily find your machine is no longer able see any networks or get to the Internet.

i have a driver software which i installed on my system,
i want to change the logo which is comming on the splash screen
of this software, can anyone pls suggest any way to do this..

The short answer is No.
The long answer is Maybe, but you'll need resource hacking tools to find out. If the image is in a resource inside the executable, then you MIGHT be able to replace it without breaking anything.

I have a ASP.Net 2.0 on a subweb. For some reason the solution is much slower on our production machine then on our staging. Obviously production should be much faster because that's where our good servers are. Any thoughts?
