Try MD5_STRING() instead of MD5()...
Also, replace the double quotes in your statement with single quotes....
Let me know if that does it...

Case "textarea"
strFormValue = Server.HtmlEncode(strFormValue)
strFormValue = strFormValue.Replace("''","&" & "quot;")
strValues.Append(",''" & strFormValue & "''")

So how did you fix it? For everyone's knowledge?(besides the encryption).

It's really only a problem if someone gains access to your database. Then they could gain access to any user account since the user name and password are in the table in plaintext.
Encrypting the password at least makes it much harder for any hacker to get access to anyone else's account.
MD5() and MD5_STRING() arn't working because they are not TSQL functions. You can't use it in the manner in which you've coded it.

It was a problem to me. First check whether you created the Primary Key.

Hi All,
I am fairly new to VB.NET however, I am working with Drawings, and have encountered a problem. Whenever I try to draw a line outside of the original size of the form it does not appear. For example a form 300x300 even when resized prior to execution still will not allow a line outside the 300x300 area? any ideas?

Hi
Is it possible to use my VB application to run Summary Reports from a Database at a click of a button.
Basically, I have a Database Table with 3 Fields - Date, Task, Duration.
I want my VB application to produce Summary Reports based on the Data in the Table at a click of a button. I want to be able to produce Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports.
Is this possible? Please let me know if more info is needed.

I am reading in an image (JPG) and I need to change the DPI from lets say 96 to 72. Here are the last two lines of code I am using to create the new image.
bmTarget = New Bitmap(ResizeWidth, ResizeHeight, PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb)
bmTarget.Save(NewPath, Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg)
|
|
|
|
|
To fix the DPI of the image here is what I ended up doing.
After I created the bitmap image I used SET RESOLUTION -
BMTarget.SetResolution(intDpiX, intDpiY)
Then save the image

Hi
Just starting to look at .NET 2.0. Is it possible to get hold of the Application Event instance from anywhere in the application, guess it must be like a singleton?
Cheers

hi there all,
I am having a hard time doing this, the sample code is like this
Dim p As New Process
p.StartInfo.FileName = "C:\windows\system32\runas.exe"
p.EnableRaisingEvents = True
p.StartInfo.Arguments = "/user:myuser@mydomain notepad.exe"
p.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = False
p.StartInfo.RedirectStandardInput = True
p.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = True
p.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = True
p.Start()
Thread.Sleep(1000)
p.StandardInput.Write("mypass" & System.Environment.Newline)
p.WaitForExit()
p.Close()
p = Nothing
I was able to run services like this, doing other stuff from command prompt inside my application. but as runas require password which am trying to enter but it is not working.

I think but im not sure you will have to double check it
that there is some functionality in wmi. there is good documentation on the
microsoft website on how to access wmi from vb.net

Look up the Application (for .NET) or App (VB 6) object.
