You can't use FileSystemObject to do the actual transfer of the file, you have to use an internet protocol for that.
If you wan't to use anything other than multipart/form-data, you have to run a component in the browser, like an ActiveX component or a Java applet.
For the format of the data, look at for an example W3C's reference[^].

is there any way in which to create a browser within a webpage? this would sound silly, but what i need is suppose from that browser which is inside my page, a person goes to a page, i want to extract the data from that page at the click of a button. to extract the data all i need to know is the complete address http://www.sitename.com/myfile.asp i tried doing this using frames and javascript but window.location.href gives permission denied error accross domains.
is there a way using a certificate or SSL or maybe by embedding a signed web browser activeX control inside my page?

I want to read data from an xml file and using the values in this xml file dynamically create a button on a web page, but I'm failing miserably.
Sample xml file
<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
<Tag1>
<height>50</height>
<width>100</width>
<display>This is my button</display>
</Tag1>
I have two problems
Problem 1
Sample Code
while(xmlReader.Read())
{
if (xmlReader.Name == "height")
<b>height = Convert.ToInt16(xmlReader.Value);</b>
if (xmlReader.Name == "width")
width = Convert.ToInt16(xmlReader.Value);
if (xmlReader.Name == "display")
display = xmlReader.Value;
The line highlighted in bold, causes an exception 'input string was not in correct format' but I don't understand why.
Problem 2
If I change the above, so that I hardcode the height and width
while(xmlReader.Read())
{
if (xmlReader.Name == "height")
height = 50;
if (xmlReader.Name == "width")
width = 100;
if (xmlReader.Name == "display")
display = xmlReader.Value;
}
The display value is null.
Can anyone explain what I'm doing wrong?

Does anyone know how to publish a crystal report to a web location in Crystal Reports 11 Server? I'm trying to publish the report and redirect to it from an ASP.NET 1.1 page.
Thusfar I haven't been able to figure out how to actually publish a report to a hittable URL on the server, there doesn't seem to be any information available regarding this. Is it possible?

Hello Everyone,
I am new to Programming and I need your help.
I am trying to copy the web application code from our production
server to my local machine, but I am getting the following error when i
do Copy Project from the Project Menu:
"The web does not appear to have the Frontpage server extensions
installed. If the Frontpage Server extensions are installed, this
error may occur because the _vti_bin virtual directory is not marked
executable.To correct this problem, run the Internet Services
Manager, select the Web server having the problem and use the Check Server
Extensions task"
I tried to research on Internet but was not able to find correct answer.
First of all how do I know if Frontpage extensions are installed or not.
If yes then, how do I get to INternet Service Manager. I am not seeing
it in my Administrative Tools. I do have IIS installed on my local machine.
I am able to create new web application but I am not able to do Copy Project.
I thank you for your help in advance.
Thanks

Isn't the point of the game that you should figure it out yourself? If you get other people to solve it for you, do you deserve the credit for cracking the game?
This level is really easy. I have already found two ways of getting to the next level. If you can't manage this one, you are probably totally clueless on later levels...
If you don't understand the code, go and get the knowledge. There is heaps of documentation available on the net. Look up the code that you don't fully understand, and perhaps also the code that you think that you understand...

Try 18 instead of 2018...
getFullYear() returns the full year I believe whereas getYear() only returns the last two digits.
It's been a while since I've done anything Javascript, so double check to be sure
For real though, like previously said, you gotta start doing some homework, cuz this question was to trivial to ask in a public forum such as here.
Cheers

I have this page
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >
<body>
<form id="form1" runat="server">
<div id="content">
<div id="top">
<div id="topLeft"><img src="images/logo2.gif" /> </div>
<div id="topRight">top right</div>
</div>
<div id="left">left</div>
<div id="right">right</div>
</div>
</form>
</body>
</html>
Inside of the "top" layer, how do I align the two layers "topLef" and "topRight" horizontally?
What do I put in the style sheet?
#topLeft
{
}
#top
{
text-align: left;
}
#topRight
{
}

Hi
I have set up a search with asp to connect to an index server catalog. But it is only finding asp, ppt, doc, and pdf files. I am getting no results for html and shtml. Is there something I am missing, or something that needs to be done at the server level.
Any help is appreciated.
this is my code:

Dim rstResults ' A recordset of results returned from I.S.

' If the query isn't blank them proceed
If strQuery <> "" Then
' Create our index server object

' Set it's properties
