Handle the TextBox's KeyDown event. If the key pressed is 13 (Enter), send your stuff, then just clear the textbox text. The cursor will be moved to the first position. If you don't clear the textbox, just set it's SelectionStart property to 0.

Hi Binu,
U can add and join the tables in crystal report by using the linking expert and then formatting the fields in the crystal report object.
Thanx & Regards.

In the network how can i access any devices and locking this device with vb.net
PIYUSH KALA
SYSCO SYSTEM (TRAINEE)

That's a really generic question. The answer to this question depends heavily on the "device" you want to connect to. And what do you mean by "locking this device"???

Thanks progload! The David has been solved the problem. It was very simple actually. Its simplicity probably confused me
I couldn't open the project vs 2005 because it was written in C++ but I didn't install vs 2005 fully. Just VB. NET.
Thanks a lot!

B Journey,
No problem, I'm glad it worked.
I'll be getting 2005 soon, so I'm sure I'll have some fun seeing all the new stuff.

Hi ,
I have two xml files displayed in different rich text box in VB.Net windows application.I want to go for node by node comparison with differences marked by different colours in each rich text box and to have the count of no of differences without using any third party tools.
Kindly reply me ASAP if u have any suggestion.

You could probably start with something like this[^] for a text-based comparison.
If you wanted node-by-node, you'll have to use the System.XML namespace classes to read the data of both files, then you'll have to recursively iterate through the nodes (and attributes) of each node, comparing to what is found in the XML files nodes. Next, you'll have to do the same thing again, but reading the second file and comparing to the first. This will catch nodes that exist in one XML file, but not the other.

Your report can't get to the datasource. If your using an Access database, make sure that the .MDB file is where the Report expects it to be. If using SQL Server, make sure that the connection string is pointing to the correct server.

You might want to explain what you want to do a little bit more. Are you asking how to find all the live addresses in a particular address range??

You have two options.
Without a central chat server -- You can scan every IP address in your LAN to find active chat clients. This can take a considerable amount of time.
You can also choose to have each client broadcast their presense on the network. Every other client can then just listen for that broadcast. The problem there is just about every company that I've ever been at doesn't allow broadcast messages to cross routers. This will effectively cut off clients from ever knowing abou each other.
With a central chat server --- The better option is to have a central chat server that each client connects to. Your server can keep track of the list of active clients and give that list to any client that asks. Or your server can give the list to any client upon connection and when there are updated to the list, send that update to each client.
