You need to learn. That is the point of homework.
What have you done so far?

Just throwing a ciphertext at us and asking us to break it is asking a lot - we're good here at CP, but even we need a little more to go on.
Your professor thinks you have at least a chance of cracking this. If you would tell us what class this is for, we might be able to make some suggestions.

I don't really understand your question? Could you be more precise ?
Are you asking that on certain event, you want that the function where you called DoModal is processed ?
If it is that what you asked, the answer is simple: unless you destroy your modal dialog, it is impossible. Now you can still use non-modal dialogs but it is a little bit more complicated to use.
But I'm almost sure your problem could be solved in another manner (and it probably results from a bad design). If you explain CLEARLY what you are trying to achieve (and WHY), maybe we can help you to find an alternative.

Let me explain:
I have created the Dialog based application. and I have five child dialogs . I hvae three buttons on the main dialog.
On click of each button ma displaying teh childDialog. by using the CDialog pointers the creating them and displaying by ShowWindow() api.
I want to display one more child dialog.
when I click on the one of the three Butons first child dialog get's displayed. IN that mhen my process is complted the dialog get's notificationa nd then i want to. display the another child dialog from that dialog.
eg:
MainDlg : a. FirstDlg
b. Second Dlg
C. ThirdDlg
Now when FirstDlg is diaplayed some process is going on. When the process is completed I want to display fourth ChildDialog.
How can I?

Send a notification message to the dialog and handle it. This can be a custom message of yours.

Anways thank you for the your suggestions and Help.
I have already found the solution.

As already pointed out in your previsou post, trap the WM_NOTIFFY message in the parent dialog, and call SetFocus() and SetForegroundWindow() in there. This is only possible if the child dialog is not Modal, unless you are calling it in a different thread (which would be a good reason to make it non-modal).

hi all
I need to compile my application (it is service) for 64 bit. Is there any option for that.
you need a 64 bits compiler...
yes, i need to compile my app. for a 64 bit machine..
you didn't understand me
i meant, to compile for a 64 bits environment, you need a 64 bits compiler... only VC++2005 does that.
To complete v2.0's answer, a 64bits machine will perfectly swallow an application compiled for a 32bits processor. It can then be less performant, but it works.
