If you need Graphical output over webpage you can go for VML (Vector Markup Language)
Reference:http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?
url=/workshop/author/vml/shape/data/vmlom.asp

But VML is only supported by IE 5.0 and over.

Hello,
How do we pass a severside object (e.g a listbox) to a client-side javascript function?
I have an idea that it could be this:
//string variable
string objectID;
//get the object's control identifier
objectID = listbox.ClientID;
//pass the object's control identifier
ctl1.attribute["onClick"] = "returnContextMenu({0},objectID);";
Is it correct?

Hi,
I know this is a simple piece of code, but I'm a little brain dead at the moment.
I have a basic HTML table. If I resize the Internet Explorer window, I want the table to also resize so that it "fits to screen" instead of having to scroll from side to side in order to see the whole table.
What's the code for that again?
Thanks!!

If your scrolling side to side or horizontal scrolling...
It's likely because you have a PRE tag or html entities causing that...or anything that doesn't allow line breaks.
You could possibly have a DIV or a SPAN tag width set to greater than the TABLE width, which will also causes HScrolling...which is really annoying
Show your code in question and I'll try and show you what I mean...
It's frustrating being a genius and living the life of a moron!!!

Thanks for your help, but it's because of a span tag that I have in my table.

Note: The table tag doesn't have any height property. You have to use css to set the height of a table.

b { font-weight: normal; }

I'm a css newbie... what is the css method for setting the height to be the size of the window (like width: 100% does)?

You use "height: 100%". If you are using XHTML you also have to set the height of the html tag and body tag to 100%.

Hi,
I have to validate data inside a textarea control, and it works fine till I press enter.
I'm using the following regular expression to check my data:
^[\u00E8-\u00EB\00FCa-zA-Z\d ]$
I'm assuming I'm having trouble with new line characters. How do I modify my regular expression to do such checks?
Please can someone help??

Hi,
How do we pass an integer argument from C# into a javascript function?
I declare an integer variable first, then I pass it into the javascript function.
But the javascript code didnt execute correctly.
//First, an integer variable is declared
int numofItems;
// Returns the Javascript code to attach the context menu to a HTML element
public string GetMenuReference()
{
return String.Format("return __showContextMenu({0},numofItems);", Controls[0].ClientID);
}
//Then the Javascript is called when the oncontextmenu event happens
ctl1.Attributes["oncontextmenu"] = GetMenuReference();
Initially the javascript function has the {0} argument only and it worked fine. But when I added one more integer argument, it doesnt work. What is the correct way to pass an int argument ?

Please don't cross post.

You are mixing server side code with client side code. That doesn't work.
Consider these two rules:
1. The server side code and the client side code never exist in the same place.
2. The server side code and the client side code never exist at the same time.
The variable that you created in the server code only exists on the server. When the Javascript code runs in the browser it can't access anything on the server, and even if it could, the variable doesn't even exist any more.
You have to put the value of the variable into the Javascript code, just like you put the value of ClientID in the code.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply and the guidelines.
Regarding about putting the value of the variable into the javascript code, just like putting the value of ClientID in the code, could u elaborate?
Is it something like,
return String.Format("return __showContextMenu({0},{1});", Controls[0].ClientID,numofItems); ?
