hi,
ok then is there a way to GRAY the volume control icon in the task bar.

Why would you even consider doing this? Do you not think that the user would be somewhat annoyed that they could not change the volume on their computer? How friendly would that be?

Just because it is a requirement does not make it a good idea. Please explain what you are doing and maybe we could could come up with an alternative solution that is more practical.

I just made eight posts to this thread. Don't you think I would have helped if I could? Do you think that I am purposely withholding information?

hi,
In our project there is an option to Control the Volume of audio of the system,so when the user does control the volume through our software,he should not be allowed to go and change the volume through the system.

I've got a list of information which I currently display in a CListBox and at present I 'manually' format the data by inserting extra spaces, i.e.
Adam - 260 - 11
Bill - 260 - 2
Caroline - 90 - 6
is there an easy way to get column support into a CListBox or should I be using a different control to display my data?
TIA

shame codeproject strips out the spaces

Shame you cannot use the pre and code tags just above the emoticons

Hi,
Why don't you use the CListCtrl instead of the CListBox?

Partly from http://www.codeproject.com/dialog/dlgboxtricks.asp[^]
If you want to do this at design time, all you need to do is to set the properties accordingly. But if for some reason you need to do this at run-time then this is what you need to do. Override OnCreate() and add this code to it.
SetWindowLong(this->m_hWnd,GWL_STYLE,
GetWindowLong(this->m_hWnd,GWL_STYLE) &
~(WS_MINIMIZEBOX | WS_MAXIMIZEBOX));
~RaGE();

Hi to all,
Can somebody tell me the difference between exe and dll?
Thank You
Pankaj Garg

an exe have a main() (or WinMain() ) function as an entry point, so that when the OS launches it, it knows where to start executing the code.
a dll is a library. it provides a set of functions, classes, resources, but can't be directly executed.

Hi all,
I am getting the above error, when I execute my application in the setting: "Release - Static Library - Code Generation - Multithreaded".
In debug build (Debug - Static Library - Code Generation - Multithreaded), I get this error in CView::DoPrintPreview -CDialogBar::Create(..) - _AfxCheckDialogTemplate(lpszTemplateName, TRUE). This fails.
I've written in my OnFilePrintPreview as in MSDN.
void CView::OnFilePrintPreview()<br />
{<br />
<br />
CPrintPreviewState* pState = new CPrintPreviewState;<br />
<br />
if (!DoPrintPreview(AFX_IDD_PREVIEW_TOOLBAR, this,<br />
RUNTIME_CLASS(CPreviewView), pState))<br />
{<br />
<br />
TRACE0("Error: DoPrintPreview failed");<br />
AfxMessageBox(AFX_IDP_COMMAND_FAILURE);<br />
delete pState;
}<br />
}
Where am I wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Sarvan AL

many C++ functions are remarked as in MSDN:
Windows CE: Unsupported.
if so, do u know why MS developed OS of Windows CE in this funny way?
