hi all,
Can anyone please tell me how to lock a folder,so that the user does not have access to it.
Thanks in advance,

You'll need to search for Access Control Entry (ACE) and Access Control List (ACL).

hi,
Can you provide me with a code snippet about how to lock a folder.
|
|
|
|
|
Well if it contains only few files keep it opened , or else go for ACL
and look for the api
1.LockFileEx or
2.SetsecurityFIle (ACL)

be sure to change all the pictures in your ico file...
also have a look at your resource.h and be sure that the app icon ID (IDI_...) have the lower value compared to all your project icon resources
|
|
|
|
|
Look at the icons section in the resource view, you can edit the icon directly in the IDE

I only have my own icon edited there. Can't see the MFC-icon anywhere. I have my icon in the left corner in main applicaion form but i want it to be on the .exe file too...

Open the icon in the editor, and take a look at the other icons in the file by selecting the Image menu item, then Current Icon Image Types item. Do you have more then one icon there (ie 16x16, 32x32 etc)?

SetIcon(h,0);

you made the DialogBox inherit from CRecordSet ?!

i suppose u hv done same what i hv done in the sample app.
now in my sample app i hv taken just one dialog box.
if iam getting ur problem u are adding one more dialog box &
in that Dialog box u again want to fetch records from DB & show on to the Daiolg?? (right)
do same as we hv done for 1st dialog box.
& u said u hv derived the dialog from Crecordset y??
i didn't asked u to do that ( I suppose I hvn't done this in the sample app)
