I was looking at the downloadable code for the CP forum and noticed that the last post was WAY out of date. Is there going to be an update for all of us to use? Even better, will there be an ASP.net version of the forum???

David Wulff has taken the code and cleaned it up a lot, so I'd suggest using that version. The version we use here is so intertwined with the rest of the CP infrastructure that I simply don't have the time to untangle it and repackage (ASP sucks)
I very much would like to provide an ASP.NET version of the forums but I can't promise anything at this stage.

Now if Microsoft had said that about the bundling of IE, then they wouldn't be in the same amount of trouble. "We can't remove IE because Windows sucks".

Instead of having your current forum name listed in red, can you make it red AND a link. IMHO it is easier for me to click on that than to find the "show all threads" link.
Sure, it is a stupid little point, but since having it also be a link shouldn't hurt anything, I really can't think of a reason not to do it since it would make moving around a tiny bit easier.

I may be wrong here but I believe you have the wording reversed in regards to the comment count in the message board. For example, you have listed in Visual C++ (right now) as (36796/36803), but the verbiage below shows (Total Comments/New Comments). How is it possible to have more new comments(36803) than the total(36796)? Should it not be listed as (New Comments/Total Comments)?

Seems ok to me.
The Visual C++ forum has (36806/2) which is correct, as there are two new messages.
Are you logged in? What do you have your messages since set to ?
Are you using DHMTL view?

I was logged on, however I was up on campus this morning when I saw it. It does appear to view fine now that I am back at home. I did see however, I am not delusional.

Ok....I back on campus here this morning and I am seeing the same thing. Last night everything was fine, I am starting to think that this Statistics class is really getting to me.  But really, I am logged on and the count appears really strange, but out at work and at home everything is fine. Oh well, I will just let this go to the way side. Thanks Chris

Chris...I thought it'd be a great idea to have some auto hyperlinking built in for the message posts.
You know like ICQ when you type www. it automatically hypers the link...?
IMO...this would be awesome and prevent annoying copy and paste...

If I post my list of 150+ ideas and suggestions then it means:
- you won't be surprised when they are added
- there will be arguments as to which features should
be implemented first
- there will be  if some of them don't get implemented
due to time or other constraints
