i have created a web application with web service... After deploying the application, the application is running only in my local system and it is not running in network systems. for that i have copyed the .msi file and again i run that msi file in the network system... after doing that also the application is not running correctly...
So tell me that is there any other way to deploy the web application? and also whether we have to deploy the web services for accessing the service in other systems?
with regards,

I'm creating a word document with vb.net and trying to add some text to table cell in the format of
Project: Project Name
with the "Project: " being in bold and the rest not.
However all I can find is how to make the whole range bold:
tbl.Cell(1, 1).Range.Font.Bold = True
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Keith

Hi,
I have the following problems.
1. First, I want to subtract the current from the date of birth
2. Second , I want to check whether the current date is greater then the date of birth
Please send me the functions that calculates it.
Thank You

1. Use the DateTime.Now property to get the current date and time. Use the Subtract method to subtract the date of birth from it.
2. Just compare them. The operator for 'greater than' is >.

you can subtract dates by using this
Dim birthDay As Date = New Date(2006, 3, 17)<br />
Dim currentDate As Date = Now.Date<br />
Dim Difference As Double<br />
<br />
Difference = currentDate.ToOADate - birthDay.ToOADate

Create a new module. Add this code
Module Module1<br />
Sub main()<br />
Application.EnableVisualStyles()<br />
Application.DoEvents()<br />
Application.Run(New Form1())<br />
End Sub<br />
End Module
Set you application’s start up object to Sub Main. That’s it

There's a reason why it's called XP styles. The .DLL's that supply the XP styles don't exist on 98 and 2000 and, therefor, you won't get the XP look on those platforms.

Can anyone help mi out here...im totally new to vb5 and was ask to do a research on the vb5 coding as to why when usng win XP platform, it works at times only but most of the time it does not work..the problem of coding occurs under the copyfile coding which is objFSO.CopyFile App.path & "\" * Path, strClientPath & path, True
So can kindly anyone help mi out as to why the copyfile cant work in win XP, or any possible reason that could have caused this. Is it because the code copyfile no longer exists or is my coding missing out of anything?
Thanks alot in advanced!!
ps:Thanks Dave!!

eh...sry the problem is that it did not displayed any error message, the program juz stop. By the way, regard the App.path & "\" * Path the "*" is i typo error,my script is reflected as App.Path & "\" & Path, thz for notifying me, the line of problem occurs at the "objFSO.CopyFile"
Once again,thanks for forking out ur time to help.

I assume that objFSO is a reference to a FileSystemObject object?
Do you have Norton Antivirus installed? If so, disable Script Blocking. That is known to just hang processes using FSO without an error message or anything.
