I have written some code in this function to update some data in the database.When i select the Dropdownlist2 then the code in the Dropdownlist2_selectedIndex() function gets executed twice.Hence the records gets updated twice.For e.g instead of updating it to 5 it updates it to 10.

You might want to check if the Dropdownlist2_selectedIndex handler is wired up to the event twice?

+ No need to use the Regex, simply use the SubString method instead .
+ Below is a quick example with Regex:
public string GetSubDomain(string url)
{
Regex r = new Regex(@"http://(?<SubDomain>[\w]+\/?)\S*", RegexOptions.Compiled);
return r.Match(url).Result("${SubDomain}");
}

I have faced the problem while connecting the POP3 Server. Actually the pop3 server is connected but the following error is occured when disconnecting the server.
Data = "QUIT " + CRLF;
szData = System.Text.Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes(Data.ToCharArray());
NetStrm.Write(szData,0,szData.Length);
NetStrm.Close();

Not interested in cross-browser support then?
If you're needing a javascript solution anyway, you might as well look at the link I sent you. It has an example of doing exactly what you described. You'll have to construct your TemplateColumn to output the necessary link, but once you see the example, you'll be able to do that.

I have an ASP.Net web application using C# and I would like to know how do I print what is currently displayed on the web page to the client PC's printer by clicking a button on the web page, thanks.

You can use the javascript function window.print(); to initiate a client-side print dialog. So you could have a normal HTML button like this:
<input type="button" onclick="window.print();"
value="Print"
/> or an ASP.NET server control button like this:
<asp:Button id="btnPrint" runat="server"
Text="Print"
OnClientClick="window.print();"
/> The advantage (or disadvantage?) of the latter is that it will still post back to the server. This could be useful if you wanted to log the fact that the user used the Print functionality from the button. You could eliminate the postback in the server control by adding return false; to the OnClientClick code:
<asp:Button id="btnPrint" runat="server"
Text="Print"
OnClientClick="window.print(); return false;"
/>

This is cool.
Although I suppose you would actually want to navigate to a printer-friendly page before you print, then on page.load you would call window.print(); ?
