i want to deploy asp.net application in cd. And want to query database from cd for displaying information to user.
i want help about how to deploy application and how to add database to cd and which will display pages by using database on cd.

After coverting 2005 Web Site Project to 2005 Web Application Project, I got the following errors on all ObjectDataSource:
The type specified in the TypeName property of ObjectDataSource 'odsName' could not be found.
Any help is appreciated.

After I converted to 2005 web application project, the App_Code folder was changed to Old_App_Code. My public class for TypeName property of ObjectDataSource is located on this folder.

Have you gone through this tutorial[^]? Do you compile the project before running? Do you get the error when you build the project after converting or at runtime?

I exactly followed this tutorial. There is no error when I rebuild the application.

Your class's now only in the Old_App_Code folder, or you also keep another copy of the class in the App_Code folder? Do you use the IIS or the built-in server to do testing? I have tried converting a web site with a datasource control and a custom business class in App_Code folder, and it's working after the conversion, perhaps my example is much simpler than yours. Are you sure that the output assembly in the bin folder contains your custom business class?

I am creating a web application in asp.net2.0.In this page i am having a button on whose click event i need to start a mp3 file and on another button's click that file needs to stop.I want to know if .net supports any dll or api for the above.Please help me out in this regard.Any help from u guys will be highly appreciated.

i want to traverse through a treeview web control and fetch the ID's of all checked nodes.
that is, all those nodes whose checkboxes are checked in a treeview.i want to get their Id's.

Is there a way to create statical data, that is every time for alle sessions accesable?
I tryed to create a static class, and i add an static field from type DataSet. Access form the pages works well und adding new rows also, but after an page reload (press an button or somethink) the dataset is empty.
Is there a way to make code that is for all sessions every time accessable?
or i have to do it per remoting?

The IME Mode in web has less values than that in the windows-based application, you can see it in MSDN:
ime-mode Attribute | imeMode Property[^]
So you can add it to the style of the web control.

Yes, you might be able to activate or disable the IME state instead of specifying a particular value like you do with a window control.

Is it possible to send information (e.g string) from one page to a control of another page without using Session States or other server-based state management techniques? i.e no postback
Right now, the label of the 2nd page has to display the 1st page's radio button's text when it is clicked.

How do you navigate to the second page? If you open it in a new window, you can get reference to the parent window document to read the label on this page.

Yes, the simple way is to use the TemplateField.

hi!
can some one please help me in creating the datagrid with the same output like one we are placing messages (i-e by clicking the link a small portion is open under it and show the discription and clicking again will hide)
