Then there has to be something wrong with your html, because it's not recognising the form correctly.
A minimum page should be:
<html>
<head>
<title></title>
</head>
<body>
<form runat="server">
... here goes your controls
</form>
</body>
</html>
<small>---
b { font-weight: normal; }</small>

Hi everyone,
Can we bring third party tools such as adobe photoshop in the browser,whatever be the methodology.I know it would be difficult to add the reference of that tool in an asp.net project since asp.net accepts only .net or com components.
But i have seen , some applications which bring external imaging tools in thier browser.How to do it.Can we do this with pure HTML?
I think,I had asked this question earlier.But ,Since i am not aware of the solution yet, I am posting the question again.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

I don't think it's a stupid question. Welcome to CodeProject !
Here are some good places that can get you started:
ASP.NEt quick start[^]
ASP.NET starter kits[^]
Also, when you get stuck on a specific issue, don't forget your best friend CodeProject (hopefully in the near future ).

I'm a long time reader and this is my first post!
I am looking for an embeddable Flash application that is capable of viewing a PDF file without the end-user having Adobe Acrobat installed on their computer.
Macromedia's Flash Paper is exactly what I'm looking for, but I can't just convert all of the PDFs to SWF files. If you could pass a URL or stream to the Flash Paper "movie", that would be ideal.
I'd like to be have an option to use our Flash viewer or their "application/pdf" application.
Any suggestions?

I am simply trying to use the uploadfile control with no success.
Also the remote server uses .net 1.0
If you cant help me with this error please tell me a different way of uploading files to a server using .net 1.0
The following is the error i keep getting:

I have IIS running on my local machine. When i run this on my local machine everything works beautiful. When i upload the files to a remote webserver (earthlink web hosting) I receive the error at the top.
Now i have been reading around and googleing and everything else and others have said that i need to build the application. I have built the application by clicking build / build page (website)
Then upload the two files back up to the web server but nothing changes same errors.
Then i read something about refrences and .dll files located in a bin folder but i cannot locate these files at all nor the bin folder.
If i need to get the bin folder on the remote web server where do i find it also where do i find the .dll file after a build.
Someone please give me step by step instructions of what i need to do to get this to work on the remote web server. Again it works on my local machine but not when i upload it to the remote server.
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
Basically, you cannot use the new features in the ASP.NET 2.0 like the partial class, CodeFile attribute, FileUpload control .... to run with the ASP.NET 1.0. The reason it's working on you machine is simply that you use the right version 2.0 in your local environment. On the remote server, they use an older version of ASP.NET (1.0), so you need to go back with the options provided by the ASP.NET 1.0, there are a couple of things that you might need to change in order ton run on the remote machine:
+ Use the inline code instead of the code-behind with the partial class.
+ Use the HtmlInputFile[^] control instead of the FileUpload control.
Below is a quick example for the changes:
<%@ Page Language="C#" %>
<html>
<head runat="server">
<title>Untitled Page</title>
<script runat="server">
protected void UploadBtn_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<form id="form1" runat="server">
<input id="File1" runat="server" type="file" />
<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Upload"
On_Click="UploadBtn_Click"/>
</form>
</body>
</html>

How about like this?
void Page_Load(object o, EventArgs e)
{
DateTime dt = Convert.ToDateTime("2006/04/24 15:56:22");
Response.Write(dt);
}

Sounds like it should do the trick!
Thanks again Mike!

Hi,
I am retrieving my data from database to a datatable in asp.net.Now I need to place this datatable in the resource file and pull the information from the resource file and display that data on the browser.How do I do this?I did not use resource file till now.I need a complete example of it.
help will be appreciated.
thanks,

Why do you need to place a datatable in a resource file?
|
|
|
|

that is my requirement.I need to add to the resource file and from resoucr file I need to grab it in the code behind and display on the brwoser.

Here is my code.....
*********************************************************************
<cc1:aiflashin id="Flash1" style="Z-INDEX: 146; LEFT: 91px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 158px" runat="server" Width="748px" Height="100px" Url="banner.swf" ScriptName="AiFlashIn1" SwLiveConnect="True"></cc1:aiflashin>
*********************************************************************
Now when I try to change the 'URL="Banner.swf"' to 'URL="Banner2.swf"' during runtime using the 'Flash1.Attributes("URL") = "Banner2.swf"' code.....the webform goes starts up as normal, but the Flash Movie doesn't load, and the little status counter thing at the bottom starts as if the page is loading up, but nothing ever happens. It just hangs.
Does anyone know why this is?

Hello,
Does anyone know if you can make the calendar control render to show only the current week. Instead of displaying as a whole month.
Thanks for the help.

Did you see the previous response[^] I posted when you asked this question a few days ago?
|

Thank you know I did not see that.
I was able to do the same sorta think with the code you have there, but I was trying to get the physical control to shrink down as well. Appears you are stuck with the whole hieght and width for a months view.

I think it does shrink down, as long as you don't specify the width and height for the table cells. The example I gave you, as is, does this.
