Check the settings of the Temporary Internet Files. By default it's something like 10% of the disk space, which can be way too much with the large disks we have today. Set it to some reasonable value, like 50 MB.
It's common that the View Source command stops working because of this. I believe that your problem may have the same reason.

If server sends to browser header with request for caching, the meta tag on browser page willbe ignored. For prevent caching you can dtnamically change url of page (for change url you can use sessions). Also you can refresh page immedeatly after load.

Got two tables in a MDB tblUser, tblWOL
Need to with one form UserN, Pass, name, surname be able to insert a record in tblUser and a record with the UserN in the tblWOL.
I can use Dreamweaver to insert into the tblUser table, but how do I add another piee so that it inserts a record into the tblWOL as well without any further User interaction?
I get a problem about "must have another form"Dreamweaver seemingly only allows ONE insert/update/delete per form and only allows to do it into/from ONE table in the DB?
Any help please?

I get this error every time I edit one of my usercontrols.
Compiler Error Message: CS0433: The type 'ASP.account_userctrls_info_ascx' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\...\App_Web_py_x3jg-.dll' and 'c:\WINDOWS\...\App_Web_ik0rrcm_.dll'
To get past this I have to rebuild the solution every time this occure. That takes a lot of time now when my project is very big.
How can I get this error to disappear?
Is there a setting that can fix this?
Thanx!

Hi,
hopefully someone can help me with this problem..
I have created a web service which is placed on a 64-bit Win 2003 server. This web service uses some dlls which are 32-bit. When I use the service, an error appears when these dlls are used,
An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.
I have ran out of ideas as to how to make the web service run as a 32-bit app (is this the right approach) or get it to work with the dlls.
I am using IIS 6.0 and .NET 2.0
Cheers
Martin

Hi,
Where can I get the older browser versions? I need them for testing of my CSS designs. What are the popular older browsers? Netscape 4? IE 5 and 5.5? Opera 6?
What about Safari? Can this run on Windows XP? Can I get a copy of this?
Then lastly, I heard there is Mac Firebird and Mac Netscape, Mac IE. Is it possible to get hold of these browsers?
I hope someone can help me out and explain to me what are the browsers that needs to be tested on. And can I get a copy of the beta version for IE 7?
Regards,
ma se

Try to Google.
Or send request directly to browser support.
Best regards, Alexey.

Here you go (do a google search next time please!)
But you will have to get a mac to test safari and mac versions of this browsers. Or maybe there is a way to emulate a mac on your PC, but I don't know how that is working (and if it is legal)

Some you can get here: http://www.oldversion.com/[^].
Netscape 4 reacts to a lot of css but can hardly be said to support it. Netscape 6.0 and 7.0 are rather buggy, so I suggest you use versions like 6.1 and 7.1.
Safari can't run in Windows, just like any of the mac programs. You can easily download any mac versions, but you can't run them in Windows.

I hope this is the right place to ask this question...
I'm attempting to use server side includes with my website, but I've run into a problem. When I put include directives in one file, the server correctly includes the contents of the specified file. However, it then ignores the rest of the file. So for example, if I have an include directive at the top of my file to include a header, the server will place the contents of the header file correctly, but then it will ignore the rest of the file. I have no idea why.
Any tips or clues will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for your response. I'm referring to SSI in the Apache sense. I should have mentioned that, but this is all still very new to me.

There's no ! at the end of the directive, it should be:
<!--#include virtual="IncludeFile2.html" -->
If this stilll doesn't sort it out, it sounds like a problem with the Apache configuration file. In this case, if you could view the HTML returned to the browser (using View Source from the shortcut menu in Firefox or IE), and see if the include directive is still there. If the directive is still there then Apache is not parsing the file for the directives.

Thanks for spotting this for me. I can't believe I missed that. I've corrected my code and everything is working fine now. Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

That's okay. I'm always having the same problem! It can be pretty annoying when it takes you ages looking for a silly mistake, when someone else can spot it a mile off! Amazing what a fresh set of eyes can do for productivity.

I am planning on making a website that will display several long lists of objects. Is there a good reason why I should not code the site in Java (using an array or linked lists)? Obviously I want the site to run as well as I can get it to. I want to make sure before I get started, I am learning Java in college, and it would be easiest for me.
