I created a simple COM Add-in Extensibility Project Type in C#.Net and integrated it with Visio 2003 managed custom toolbar.It was running fine but after few minutes i got some changes in my C#.Net code which i wrote for this COM Add-in and again i ran the code in Visio 2003 but this time it was not running,even i created some other COM Add-in extensibility project type sample but it was also not running.I don`t know that it is because of Visio 2003 or my code.
Please would you solve my this problem and please tell me about its reason.

If you made changes to the code and and the add-in fails to work, then it is more than likely going to be your add-in that's the problem. Are you able to post the source code that you changed?

Hej!
public class AdvPropertyColumn : PropertyEditColumn
{
public AdvPropertyColumn(string caption) : base(caption){} //konstructor
private bool showDropDownButtons = false;
[DefaultValue(false)]
public bool ShowDropDownButtons
{
get { return showDropDownButtons; }
set
{
if (showDropDownButtons != value)
{
Console.WriteLine("AdvPropertyColumn.Set.ShowDropDownButtons [showDropDownButtons != value]");
showDropDownButtons = value;
base.OnChanged(InvalidationMode.ColumnWithoutHeader, false);
}
}
}//end property ShowDropDownButton
}
//Tony

Short translation:
"What does the [DefaultValue(true)] attribute do, as it doesn't affect the initial value of the property?"
Answer:
The attribute is used to specify what the default value of the property is supposed to be. It can be used by a visual designer or any other tool. The default value doesn't nessecarily have to be the same as the initial value.
The default value is for an example used by the visual designer in Visual Studio when creating code for controls. A control usually have dozens of properties, but it only generate code to set the properties that differ from the default value.

I would like to make this button in VS2005 thats when an user holds the MouseDown over the button it starts scrollings up or down some text (in several listBoxes). And should stop scrolling when the user release the MouseDown.
The only way i can see that possible is by making a thread! Is there another way?

There is definately going to be a need for some threading there, otherwise the UI wont update (scroll) until after the button is released.

Hi, I have a problem to read data from serial port COM 1 with my Visual C# program. I have the Framework 1.1 and I use the CreateFile of Kernel32.dll to open the COM 1. The CreateFile succeed and then I try to Read Byte with the ReadFile of Kernel32.dll. This function doesn't work and the GetLastError give to me the 998 Error code that is ERROR_NOACCESS = "Invalid access to memory location". Can you help me please ?

P.S.: I have already tried with MSComm OCX but it doesn't work in my pc.

Do u want to display that In label control or?

yes i want to display it in label control.

There are no WinForms controls provided by Microsoft that parse HTML syntax and display the content accordingly. Infragistics has a control called the UltraFormattedLinkLabel (or something like that) which provides that functionality. If you need that funcionality and don't want to buy the Infragistics controls, you'd need to parse the text yourself and somehow display the contents with the supplied formatting.

Hi, I want to insert into my database some information, I have everything in file a.txt:
INSERT INTO TLK (kodas, liga) VALUES ('(01-99)', 'Traumu priežastys (ne iš TLK10 klasifikacijos)')
INSERT INTO TLK (kodas, liga) VALUES ('01-99', 'Ne TLK10 traumu priežasciu klasifikacija')
INSERT INTO TLK (kodas, liga) VALUES ('1', 'Transporto ivykis')
a.txt contains about 10 000 records. I run this program, but everytime it breaks, it shows error that data would be truncated... how can I fix that?
