i have a database in sqlserver
and now i want copy it for other computer , for do this work:
i go to the this path:
c:\programfile\sqlserver\data and i want copy the two file with this name
ostan.MDF and ostan.LDF but i can not find them
what should i do?????

Copying those files while the server is using them is not very wise. Make a backup of the database to a file and restore it to a new database on the other computer.

I am using .net passport for an asp.net website. To use the passport, the application has to be registered at the Microsoft Services Manager website.
At the site, the passport service is selected. Then details like domain name,
Default Return URL, Expire Cookie URL, Logout URL and a few other URLs have to be provided.
Does the URLs have to be webpages which are already hosted on IIS and are made public on the Internet already?
Can the URLs just be directory paths of local asp.net webpages? e.g C:\My Documents and Settings\Test.aspx

Strictly speaking, what you are asking for is not possible at all. You can't change the port for a web application, only for a web site. If your application is not in a separate web site, it's not possible.

When using the password recovery control it seems that the password gets sent by email only to the users that have specified an email address outside the office and not the ones inside the office.

We have a web application, where we use the session to store the user specific
data,and also we have datagrids which has paging and using Dataset stored in
session.since these dataset r holding large amount of data ie about 1000 recs min ,
and v have such datagrids throught the application ,according to the customer
request.
We r planning to replace the session object by Cache object. since all these
data are user specific, and the Cache object is of Application scope,Can u suggest
me the methods the keep these cache items user specific.
I planned to concatnate the session id with the cache item name,so when accesed the cache item created by the user will be unique.
Is there any other method to make cache items user specific.
Show me the right way

Actually i tried to implement the code in VB.NET, but then it is showing me
'Name GetLesionDS()is not declared'
Do i need to import any namespace for it...

You can use datalist to represent data in horizontal way. But you need put extra effort to put other features like paging etc for datalist control.

Hi,
I have 2 textboxes one is txtStartTime and the other is txtEndtime.
Compare Validator is not Working for these 2 textboxes.I am storing DateTime values in both the textboxes. I want to check if EndTime is Greater then StartTime.If StartTime is Greater then Endtime then It should give an error message saying StartTime cannot be greater then EndTime.
Plz suggest me how to do it.
