| is just to visually separate 8byte long sequences (old good Norton Commander has such a viewing thing)
it is not a string bits by sure as no of the printable characters at all in the file
it is a file with some data 100% I need to crack for what the numbers are

You won't be able to 'crack' the file if you don't know it's format. It's simply impossible to know what's contained in a binary file.
Maybe if it is a known file extension, you can find the file format on the web.

I think you didn't read my post correctly . I was speaking about a 'long double' which has 8 bytes (like a double).

ahhh, sorry...
for the info, it could also have been a long long
so, the conclusion : no file schema, no crack :->

this is the file with data points for sure.
I wonder if it might be just simple floating points 4 bytes long stored each after other or double or so. That must not be long numbers since the only presumpton about it is the numbers should be in range like -5.0...5.0, not much more than it

Do you know anything about the file?
Where did it came from?
Who (or what program) wrote it?
What's the file name?
|
|

its from some holter monitor and it looks without any headers inside since all the data in it is in no readable chars sequencies, just similar to array of floating or double points
this is the file with data points for sure.

if it was integers or shorts than it must be some sequencies of similar numbers not much different from each other, which is not likely from the hex numbers

Hello.
I came to think about this on my way home from work yesterday.
If it's a measure log, then there ought be a time stamp attached to every measure (series).
If you can find those time stamps, then you can easily find the data between the time stamps.
Maybe it's one way to go?

no hardly there will be any time stamp since it must be plain data from ADC on certain sampling rate and they should follow each other.
it is impractical to introduce time stamp before every point since the file size will be enourmous
it is usualy something only data points, I've tested it with float * and double * and it douesnot worked with every possible step
may be it is in 16bit or 12bit format numbers? will check it

If you have an idea of the values which are represented, you could do a bit of trial-and-error.
But the problem is that it could be a single set of values, with time implied (first sample is a float - position - at T0+t, second is position at T0 + 2t, etc)
Or it could be pairs of values (float distance with integer time)
Or it could be triples (??) of values (float distance and float velocity with integer time)
Get the idea? First decide what data is represented, then try decoding it, see what gives "reasonable" values.
Of course, you will also have to look at the system which produced the data file, and decide whether it is likely to be big-endian or not.

How would i update an acces db from VC6,if the connectivity is done using ADO?
Do i use an update query separately,or do i open the DB and then make changes?
Detalied help would be really appreciated...thanks!

hi,
using the RecordSet Pointer of the ADO, and Call Open(...) method of the RecordSet.
In the Open Metod of the RecordSet pass the String for the Update of the Command.
like
//==========================================================
Connection.Open("\\....mdb");
RecordSet rs;
rs.Open("Update table table name where value = " &value);
rs.Close(...);
//==========================================================
cool.

Requirement:
IS IT POSSIBLE TO HANDLE MOUSE SCROLL EVENT when the focus is on the LISTBOX.
When ListBox has only the Horizontal scrollbar,the MOUSE SCROLL Event is by default
linked to the HORZIONTAL SCROLL movement.
Is there any way to HANDLE this behaviour?
Is there any way to STOP this behaviour?
Can any one clarify?
Thanks
for thendral

Are you referring to the mouse wheel? You could handle the WM_MOUSEWHEEL notification.

Hi !
I want an article around "Anti Debugger" codes.
please help me.

What are "Anti Debugger" codes?

Generally, it means code that checks to see if the process is being run under a debugger. They range from simple/naive things like calls to IsDebuggerPresent(...) and CheckRemoteDebuggerPresent(...) , smarter things like seeing if the first [edited] opcode of a function is an CC [/edited] (breakpoint has been set), or advanced things like looking for tell-tale signs of kernel-level debuggers like looking for the the named pipe used internally by SoftICE (\\.\NTICE , or checking int 41 (Windows debugging kernel) interrupts, etc.
The art of anti-debugging is as vast and varied as the art of hacking and cracking.
Peace!

I do not think that you will find such articles here, as that is considered more Black Hat than White Hat.
I would suggest Googling for things like "Honeypot detection" and "anti-anti-debugging", as countermeasures to countermeasures have to fully understand what they are combating.

Dear Sirs,
My problem is this,
After doing search on my form, I load my toolbar where I have same buttons (Next, Previous, LAst, First). But after that when I load another form, I can't write same thing inside, All fields seem to be Clocked.
I don't understand.
On my codes, when I destroy this toolbar before calling an other form, all things are well. But when I destroy it, it can't appear again even if i need it again ?
What to do ?
