Hi,
My apllication gives error when I try to open the oledb connection. "CreateActCtxW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32". This windows app is running on windows server 2000. But if I run on my client machine on Win XP, it runs fine. I am using com object for excel 9.0.
Can anyone please help ??

I have a requrement where we need to display methods from a selected web service dynamicaly using VB6. the web service can be a c# or VB.NET webservice.
basicaly I wanted to make the User to be able to select from a list of defined webservices...
Based on selected webservice user should be displayed a list of functions available for the webservice.
any idea how to do in VB?

i connect the Crystal report to my application...
now when i open the form that contains the CR, a popup form request the server name and database and usename and password,
i tried every tried every propability, but "Can't connect"
???

I need help in the resuming part.
For example : When users are downloading a file, out of a sudden they got disconnected.
How can i code the program in such a way that, it will resume from the part where the users have left previously.

So I'm moving nodes around, but I'd like to provide a faint
dashed line either above or below the target node to indicate
whether dropping a node over a peer target node will put the
new node either immediately before the target node (so the
line would be above the node), after it (line below the node),
or as a child of the target node (no lines, highlight the node).
The highlighting is easy, but I'm wondering if the lines were
done with the Win32 API Overlay Images. If so, will I have to
drop to P/Invoke to get at these? I'm hoping there's a
straightforward .Net way.

When i convert from string to date:
VAR as date = System.Convert.ToDateTime(strDate)
my problem is the convertion return the time with the date... i just want the Date...
should i use a Provide.Iformat ...HOW?

the DateTime object is designed to store date and time (including millisecond). If you dont need the time part, just ignore it. If you want to DISPLAY the date without the time there is plenty of scope to format the returned string - check the docs for full details but a simple example
myDate.ToString("dd/MM/yyyy"); // diplays myDate in UK format

There is no "Kill switch" here!
What I mean by that, is there is no one line of code that will write all the contents of a datarow to a StreamWriter's WriteLine method. The only way to do this would be to iterate each column in the table and build up your own file line-by-line in the format you require.

how to remove + sign form dagrid in vb.net.
when i fil the datagrid using the dataset and dataadapter classes then + sing appear in the datagrid whein i click on plus sign then the table name appear and when table name then its rows are shown.

Hi,
Are you using a BackgroundWorker?
If so, then you have to state that the BackgroundWorker object reports progress:
Me.BackgroundWorker1.WorkerSupportsCancellation = True
Me.BackgroundWorker1.WorkerReportsProgress = True
Then you have to use the event handling procedure ProgressChanged to see the progress:
Private Sub BackgroundWorker1_ProgressChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.ComponentModel.ProgressChangedEventArgs) Handles BackgroundWorker1.ProgressChanged

i have problem in process handeling, i m calling "make process" whose output is redirected using stream reader.
when this provess over(make).
i get output in my textbox.
but i want to read the output of process while the process is executing. not after the process exist.
so plz help
