What's wrong with my suggestion ? I even made the search on google for you ! Feel to lazy to do something by yourself ? People should do the work for you isn't it ?

There are no 'better' sites than the ones google will offer you.

What did you mean?
A) You don't know how to express your intention (of coding) with appropriate programming jargons?
B) Your teacher is not willing to answer you?
C) Too many SMS texts in your questions?

I see several problems here
1 - you have 'poor knowledge of C++', but you've been asked to write a GUI in C++
2 - people have given you the only possible answers, and you've rejected them
Your only other option is to find someone you can pay to do the work for you. Otherwise, it's google all the way, and you'd be insane not to buy a good book. How big is this GUI ? How long do you have ? What's 'industrial training' ? Are you on a course and you'll be marked for this ? Or are you in a work situation where this is a task you're being paid to do ? If the former, go and ask for info from your teachers. If the latter, you need to either work hard, or find another job.

I want to select a row in the CListCtrlEx through program. What method can help me.
|
|
|
|
|
use the macro
ListView_SetItemState( hWnd, nIndex, LVIS_SELECTED , LVIS_SELECTED );
where hWnd is the handle to the listctrl and nIndex is the items to be selected
Please note that u should set the focus to the listctrl before calling this macro
Setfocus( hWnd );

i am monitoring an edit control, if a user type something i implement the ON_EN_CHANGE event.
there i raise a flag.
problem is that when i start my application, i set the text in the edit box intentionally, and then this resolved calling to ON_EN_CHANGE and my flag is raised (which is not good at that point).
i can solved this problem using a flag saying something like m_bFirstTime...but this is not an elegant way....
can u suggest an alternative?
thanks
Yaron

Derive a new class from CEdit with an internal flag for the purpose.

thanks for the reply, i think it is easier for me just using the flag i've mentioned rather than deriving a class.

Deriving one is prefered if you need further sophisticated mechanism and encapsulation in addition to what you have mentioned.

Hi All,
I have implemented Context menu extension on my namespace extension icon wherein I have added 4 custom menus. But I see all of them correctly on Win2k. Only the first of the menus I have added appears when tested on WinXP or on Win 2k3.
Can anyone tell me where the problem could be?
Thanks and Regards,
Anil
