Hi Amaneet,
You can use javascript like this.
Syntax:
window.open (URL, windowName[, windowFeatures])
Example:
window.open ("http://www.dotnetspider.com",
"mywindow","status=1,toolbar=1");
Also visit this link it will be quite helpful

Hey Guys,
We are building a web based tool in ASP.NET. In the tool, we are using DOTNETCharting solution to show some charts.These charts are rendered as .png images on the aspx pages. Some questions -
1. Can I implement cache on these images ?
2. If yes then how...?
3. Is there any other way to improve the performance on these charts apart from caching?
Please help...

I would like to have a button for each row in the GridView control so that when it is clicked, a call is made to the database.
Do I use a buttonField for this? if so how do I pass the id for that row and which event fires the click of this button?
Thanks

There are many ways to do what you might want, you can use one of the fields in the GridView control: ButtonField , CommandField , and TemplateField . To execute a command to the database, you can have the control do that for you by configuring the GridView control with a datasource control, then configure the CommandName of the button with a standard name like Add,Edit, Delete. In addition, you can manage to do that on your own by using the RowCommand event to handle a general command caused by a button placed in the GridView control. You can read more about the GridView control in MSDN to see how to play with it.

Hi Amaneet,
What is the value in web.config file. Is it debug="false" or true. If it is false then make it to true.
Hope this will help you.

Go to IIS, site props, Direcrtory tab and click Configuration. On the debugging tab of the next dlg, check what you need...

Hi, I have customErrors set to "on" in the web.config file.
I would like to know what the errormessage says. e.g: the resource cannot be found.
I know that you can specify errors in the web.config but that looks a bit stupid to me.
Is there any other way to get the latest error that occured?
I tried
Exception exception = Server.GetLastError();
on my errorpage so I could get the Exception message.
This, however, does not work, the exception is null.
Does anyone have any bright ideas?

You said that you want to access the latest error on the error page, that also means the error page is not a static htm file, but a web page .aspx. So if you configure to redirect to the error page in the customErrors section, you then need to persist the error in the Application_Error handler so that you can access it in the error web page. Another option is that you don't configure the custom error page in the customErrors section, instead you can use the Server.Transfer to redirect to the error page in the Application_Error.
