how to change datagrid to input data form?

i want to use datagrid wiht shortcut keys(F2:new record,F3: edit..) as a input data form. But i don't know how to do that.

You have to use a ListView[^] instead of a ListBox.

Finding File attributes through API calls

Hi All,
I have one problem while collecting file attributes from Unix server using API calls.I am using "FtpFindFirstFile" and "InternetFindNextFile". I need to get the create date information of the file. "FileTimeToLocalFileTime" and "FileTimeToLocalFileTime" are using for converting to my local time. But it returns "01/01/1601 09:00:00". It is so strange.Looking for your help..

Hi all,
I want to change a project from C# to VB.NET.
I'm using VS.NET 2005 and now I have a problem:
C# using the AssemblyInfo.cs file to add some information but I can't find this file in the VB.NET project!

The file is called AssemblyInfo.vb in Visual Basic.
it can be viewed from your Solutions Explorer, choose to see all files, then it should be located in the "my project" folder

Hello. I want to open a new Browser window, for example Internet Explorer or Firefox, depending of what is your default navegator.

One way will be this:

System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("http://www.google.com");

But the problem of that is that if I have a Internet explorer window open, and I execute the line, it'll be open the google page in that explorer. I want to open the google page in a new web browser.

An other option is this:
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("IExplore.exe", strLink);

But I only open with IExplorer

Any ideas ?

There is an Internet Explorer specific setting that controls that. You can change it by doing the following:
1) Open an Internet Explorer browser window.
2) Click Tools\InternetOptions on the menu.
3) Click on the Advanced tab.
4) Under the "Browsing" node, uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

If you want to launch a browser window without being browser brand specific, then there's nothing else you can do.

I want to read MP3 files, edit them (take a 10 second sample from that file) and save it to a new file.
Could anybody please help with this or does anybody no a free command line tool for windows that can doe the work?

I don't want to edit the ID3 Tags or file information,
I want to edit the audio.
I want to cut 10 sec out of the middle of a mp3 file and save that sample.
Is that possible somehow?

MDIParent/Children FOrms

Hey guys i have a form that is called from two different places. its called from the main mdi form and it loads great, but when i call it from another form i need to set that as an MDI Child also

dim main as frm_main
childform.mdiparent=main

does not work. How can i get it to be an mdichild and be called from another child form?

Try to look at the first form. Where it was declare as a child form. After you find its declaration, try to declare the second form as the child form too (at the same place). Then in the first child form if you want to call the second form try this code:

I'm afraid that in order to do this you will need to write a printer driver, which cannot be done in managed code. I suggest you write it in C++...
