when i call remoting services from diffrent machine then i got the exception
like "Server encountered an internal error For more information, turn on customErrors in the server's .config file."
even i add this tag in to App.config file
<customError mode=off />
but still i am getting same Exception ....

u just have to create a new user on server and then add this user as a member of administrator and then right click on your services then click on properties after that click on logOn tab chek the radio button for this a/c
and put a same user name and password which u created and apply.
i think this will solve your problem.

Hello freiends,

Plz Guide me!!

Hi Rahul,
What do you want actually. No one will get your question if you wont elaborate properly. Please elaborate whether you want only the connection to access database or you want to create an access database.

I write a code as follow to detect the timer event(System.timers.timer).
timer1.interval=100
timer1.AutoReset=Ture
timer1.enable=false
'My test code
Imports vb = Microsoft.VisualBasic 'above all codes
Dim startime As Single
Dim sresult() As Single = New Single(10000) {} 'record each start time
Dim i As Integer
Dim j As Integer
Private Sub Timer1_Elapsed(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Timers.ElapsedEventArgs) Handles Timer1.Elapsed
sresult(i) = vb.Timer
i += 1
End Sub
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Timer1.Enabled = True
End Sub
Private Sub Button2_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button2.Click
Timer1.Enabled = False
End Sub
Private Sub Button3_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button3.Click
j += 1
TextBox3.Text = sresult(j) - sresult(j - 1)
End Sub
OK! What do u think it will be in textbox3?(After the second click)
Wait for a minute to go on pls.Just say what do you think the answer now.
OK! Come on,Everybody.Have you done it in your project?
What is the result?
And What i can see is:
The number 0.09375 and 0.109375 displays alternatly.
Why isn't it always 0.1 ?
What is the number 0.09375 or 0.109375?
And when i set timer1.interval=10
the alternate number is :"0" and 0.015625
Thank you for all

Timer control (and Timer API) are not exact when are set to operate in small fractions of second... This just gives a relatively period near the interval you set. It is also affected by cpu usage... If you exactly want a sharp timer (for example if you are writing a media player program, to match audio and video you need it), search internet for High Resolution Timer.
If you run a media player while you are testing your timer program, you get more accurate results (this is not an experience of mine, but one of my friends once had tested...)

Don't you think it is very interesting?
It displays the two numbers alternantly every time when you run the program.

As you say,It may be 0.1 more or less Instead of regular alternate number 0.09375 and 0.109375.

Based on a timer interval of 100 ms I would expect the answer to be around about 0.1 If it is exactly 0.1 then you got lucky.

I've used timers in projects before. I also read the documentation on them first which said that they are not exact.

Hi!
Could you help me how to adjust forecolor of an entire row (or just a cell) in a datagrid?
Thank you!

hi,
Try the property builder for applying some color templates to a data grid.

vb.net:
i want to set a boolean variable to false, when a certain form is closed. how can i catch this close-event?

Hi,
klappklapp wrote: how can i catch this close-event?
First of all there is no close event. There is an Unload event. Also i am assuming that you want to set a boolean value to false when a form is unloaded. Then just write the code -
someBoolvar = False in form_unload event.
Or if you want to call some function when a form is unloaded either the same syntax can be used or you can subscribe to the unload event of that form. Just find the form object press "." and find the unload event. In this way your function will be called whenever the unload event is fired of that form.
Hope i am clear. and my assumptions are rigth.

The OP didn't specify WinForms or WebForms. Your answer is WebForms specific as there is a Close event in WinForms.

hi,
i'm not soo agree with the guy answered before
i just tryed close event for the same target
it works be sure man
try to be good if you can't be the best

You can add an event handlier for the closing or closed event. If you chose the closing event be aware that the form might not get closed as another event handler for the closing event will be given the opportunity to cancel the action.
NOTE: This assumes you are talking about a Win Forms application.

Closing and Closed events only exist as Closing and Close in .NET Framework versions 1 and 1.1 . If you upgrade to version 2 (2005 edition) just be aware that the events have been renamed FormClosing and FormClosed.

working with VB.NET
help,please. i am fumbling around at this problem for quite a while
i want to store a picture's location on the harddisc in an access-db.
in my prog i use an openfiledialog, get the name of the picture-file from that dialog, show the picture in a picturebox, and path and name of that file in a textbox.
this textbox has a databinding to my access-db. but whenever i open the openfiledialog,
i can't update my database afterwards anymore. when i write path and name of that file in the textbox by hand and update my db, there is now problem. so the databindings work.
does anybody know, whats going wrong here? thanks

VB6 or VB.NET ? What commands are you trying to execute ?

Well, if you just want to execute the commands and exit the command line, you can shell cmd with the /c command line switch. For example, if you want to execute the help command,:
Shell("cmd.exe /c help")
That would work in both VB6 and VB 05, though it's not the best practice in VB 05...
