The judges have turned in their scores, and here they are:

I have to agree with the judges on the technical merit scores. The program had a fairly low lefvel of difficulty, but he did manage to spell all the words correctly, and he managed to keep his feet together during the often under-inspired "double-quote" move.
For Presentation, I think he should have gotten at least a 5.2 because he did put it out there for all the world to see, and that's a lot more than many of the other competitors will do tonight.
All in all, merely an average performance, but I'd look for great things from this CPian in the next Verbal Sparring Olympics in 2006.

However, since the scoring in this event is entirely subjective it will probably be dropped. Actually, nearly all of the events will be scrapped except for those where he who cries first loses. That is, once we define crying in a non-subjective manner.

View your email source and you'll see the entire post. The email client parses it wrong, that's all.

The newsletter is kinda long because we kinda have a lot of new articles posted each week. I've got some ideas on trimming it, but one suggestion was to remove the 'In Brief' section, since it's only duplicate info.
Is the in brief handy? I originally put in in their by request but I'm personally thinking it should go, but if there's a lot of people who would prefer it to stay then speak up or forever hold your peace.

I'm with PJ, I usually skip over it because I find it easier to read the categoriezed sections than to read the blob of links

Chris, I vote for pulling the "In Brief" section.
Another thing to consider is simply posting (most of) the newsletter online and adding a link to it in the mailed out version. The "new articles" list can appear (in various flavors) online. You may want to continue sending out newsletters, though, for advertising and other purposes.

Chris I know a lot of people have been bugging you about the new site moving to ASP.NET(at least I have ), but could you possibly clue us into any new things that might be added to the new site that don't exist now? I think we are all a little curious.

OK - but don't tell anyone else:- A new coffee maker in the lounge. Coffee Maker .NET. The old one is looking a little infested.
- I've rearranged the furniture a little bit and added some new video pinball machines.
- New name tags for everyone
- New outfit for Bob. He's been complaining about drafts.
OH - you mean scripts and stuff. Right. I've actually been thinking about keeping a diary but it's going to be full of 'discovered cool new thing that relegates 90% of the code written so far obselete' entries 
All CodeProject supporters and sitebuilders will be the guinea pigs for the new site so I can fine tune before it's launched.
The really big issue, as always, is promising a date. To be honest moving to .NET is not critical for the site (it's finally stable! [touch wood]) so all rewriting is done in my spare time. The rest of my days and nights are busy ensuring that what we have will continue to function; that the bills are paid; that we get good quality sponsors and advertisers to help pay the bills; and that the 50 articles a week we get all find their way to you screens more or less intact.

This is more a funny thing than an improvement to the website: What about a counter that show all members that are online (in logged)?
Then you can click on that counter and get the list of them all!? Is that to much work?
