Guffa, thanks for the speedy reply. Yes, you are right, I am using HttpWebRequest to get the page. This is my first time dealing with cookies, can you let me know what's the syntax to send the cookies? I'd added the cookies in the container CookieC.Add(LoginRes.Cookies) and when it reaches this line LoginRes = LoginReq.GetResponse(), the error message pops out, I guess here is where I should send the cookies again.
Thanks

Ok, I just realized how to do it, so I guess I better post it here. Before the line
LoginRes = LoginReq.GetResponse()
I put
LoginReq = Net.WebRequest.Create(domain & "menu.php")
LoginReq.CookieContainer = CookieC
to send the cookie again that is to fill up the container again, so it became
LoginRes = LoginReq.GetResponse()
LoginReq = Net.WebRequest.Create(domain & "menu.php")
LoginReq.CookieContainer = CookieC
And it works, the page is being loaded, thanks for the idea, Guffa

what is the use oops implementing in .net programming
|
|
|
|
|
"Oops" is something you say when your programming mistakes causes some kind of damage, for an example accidently erases the contents of a database table. Oops should preferably not be implemented at all.
What I think that you mean is OOP, object oriented programming[^].
The .NET framework is an object oriented platform, so the programming languages used with .NET is object oriented.

Well, I sincerely hope that you are joking. If you are not, then the number of Namespaces/Classes/Assemblies available is pretty big. And, if you want to list them, the best approach would be opening Visual Studio and hitting F2 to open the Object Browser....

Is there anyway you can write functions in DLL's in VB that can be declared using the Declare keyword or is there any way to add references to DLL's using code. If you can please explain how to do either, I'm completely useless when it comes to DLL's.

Hi all - I have a multi line text box with scroll bars (about 500 records) and I display them in a one line text box such that I see just the one line at a time. This works ok but I want to display the last record rather than the first record so I scroll backward as the last record will usually be the one needed.
Is there a vb control that will do this eg tbDisplay.text.last or something similar?
Regards

This is easy to do with a listbox and its index properties. Is there a reason you are not using a listbox?

No not really - thanks for that, I will try a listbox.

Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition:
My app runs fine on my development computer, but, bombs out on the 3 other computers that I installed it on (all 3 were running Windows XP Pro). It installs OK, but, upon execution, it immediately aborts with a System.InvalidOperationException.
I inserted a MsgBox(" " command at the very beginning of the Form1_Load Subroutine, so I know that the program itself never executes.
The installs were all from CD.

Hey guys. I'm using Darryl Preen's example of a simple tabbed mdi project and it looks great, but I would like to know if someone can help me modify it to meet my needs. I'm new to programming, so if anyone can help please be specific in your explanations.
I need to only allow one instance of a tab at a time. Let's say I have a form called frmINVList and it is accessible through the menustrip. I don't want to allow more than one instance of this form at any given time. I accomplished this through declaring the form outside any events like this: Dim INVQ as new frmINVList and in the click event of the menustrip I left the code intact to show the form inside the MDI parent. The problem is after the tab is closed and the user tries to open the form again, it crashes. I get the error: ObjectDisposedException was Unhandled and in the details it says Cannot access a disposed object.
Can someone help me modify this code to allow the user to close the form and then open it again?
Thanks,
Andy

dear all,
please send me any code snippets or tutorials which describe how to generate reports using microsoft reporting service within vb express edition 2005? Thanks ...
|
|
|
|
|
Have you looked up articles on how to do this using the full Visual Studio? I would imagine it's fairly similar with the Express edition.
I've only in the last week or two used Reporting Services myself, but that was with SQL Server 2000, and there have been many changes.
Try staring here...
